New Class - Monk

To Diablo 4 Devs,

Can you please add the Monk into the game. We do deserve to have a full fisted class in game right.

It was so unique and so fun to play in D3. Would be good to see a martial artist in game. Fans would love this.

For all others please add your comments support.

Many thanks

D4 Fan.

Monk + Crusader is what they cobbled together from the ashes of Paladin + Assassin. Monk was indeed fun (Crusader was mostly a failure).

But it’s time to bring back Paladin.

Also, Monk isn’t distinct enough from Spiritwalker (yes, that’s the cool new name). They already have the 2H-stick-martial-arts-and-spirits thing covered. SB is basically D4’s Monk.

The monk was my main class in D3, I would not be surprised if the SB is the closest you will get to a monk in D4.

A lot of people are clamoring for a sword and board holy class for the next expansion.

Monk was also my main, heckin loved fire bells. Would love to see it again, or something like it.

Currently playing fireball sorc, it is pretty similar actually lol.

Kinda figured the same, but monk class fantasy was top notch.

Whenever the next D3 season launches I might jump in for a few days to run my Bruce Lee monk again.

Now this is the class I would love to have back. Or how about Amazon?

For me part of D4’s problem is each class is more like the Dungeons and Dragons Multi-Classed Bard…

What if it was dekard cain as the monk and he wasnt really dead.
What if the monks of Ivgorod saved him behind the scenes, and deckard has to undergo strength training that couldnt be taught by anyone but them.
What if deckard returned the favor to them by teaching them new skills that integrated with their spirit and wasn’t frowned upon by their gods.

That would be interesting.

I didn’t play much d3, but when I did play it was with a Monk. Fun class.

i really don’t see much difference between d3 monk and d4 sb. mechanically, they play almost exactly the same just with a different name.

I play my paladin in last epoch all the time. It’s a blast!

Does a SB have any mantras, can it use two weapons, does it have mystic allies that are with you all of the time?

I played the monk in D3 and the SB in D4 they are not “almost exactly the same.” I miss the wave of light.

Gotta love how some people behave like SB isn’t in the game lol

I see them as close enough to each other that they wouldn’t bother recreating a monk in D4 just for the sake of it. Just as they won’t make a Demon Hunter from D3, or an Amazon D2. Doesn’t mean we can’t dream, but realistically speaking I don’t see either coming.

I actually refer to the SB as a Jungle Monk.

Are you serious, bro? We want more Diablo 2 and less Diablo 3. The monk wasn’t a class that marked your childhood. We need the paladin, but urgently. The Horadric Cube has crafting recipes, leaderboards, and decent PVP. The monk can wait another 10 years.

Spiritborn is already a monk.

People forget D3 was some peoples childhood memories. Not saying it was mine, but some on these forums never played D2, nor have any desire too.

Close enough only counts in hand ‘’‘’ and atom ‘’'…

I agree the Monk will not likely see D4, however SB and Monk aren’t even close. It would be nice to see some class with something similar in mantras and mystic allies… Then again why is it again we don’t have the option of fire/cold hydra?

D3 is not D4; I get that. However some of the class play and options in D3 would fit with the classes they have for D4 and may even make some builds more viable than constantly using a meta variation.
