Monk + Crusader is what they cobbled together from the ashes of Paladin + Assassin. Monk was indeed fun (Crusader was mostly a failure).
But itâs time to bring back Paladin.
Also, Monk isnât distinct enough from Spiritwalker (yes, thatâs the cool new name). They already have the 2H-stick-martial-arts-and-spirits thing covered. SB is basically D4âs Monk.
What if it was dekard cain as the monk and he wasnt really dead.
What if the monks of Ivgorod saved him behind the scenes, and deckard has to undergo strength training that couldnt be taught by anyone but them.
What if deckard returned the favor to them by teaching them new skills that integrated with their spirit and wasnât frowned upon by their gods.
I see them as close enough to each other that they wouldnât bother recreating a monk in D4 just for the sake of it. Just as they wonât make a Demon Hunter from D3, or an Amazon D2. Doesnât mean we canât dream, but realistically speaking I donât see either coming.
Are you serious, bro? We want more Diablo 2 and less Diablo 3. The monk wasnât a class that marked your childhood. We need the paladin, but urgently. The Horadric Cube has crafting recipes, leaderboards, and decent PVP. The monk can wait another 10 years.
Close enough only counts in hand ââââ and atom ââ'âŚ
I agree the Monk will not likely see D4, however SB and Monk arenât even close. It would be nice to see some class with something similar in mantras and mystic allies⌠Then again why is it again we donât have the option of fire/cold hydra?
D3 is not D4; I get that. However some of the class play and options in D3 would fit with the classes they have for D4 and may even make some builds more viable than constantly using a meta variation.
