Just had a cool idea, a Greek pantheon looking class that uses polearms and shields would be super badass (would finally give shields a purpose) since Blizzard is focusing on new classes I would love to see this in D4, what you think?
I suspect something like this is inn the making. The Amazon bringing her back.
IIRC Blizzard didn’t utilized their Amazon island lore and ideas for D3 and saved it for D4.
In D2 Amazons could use spears and pole-arms if I recall correctly.
They surely could and bows…loved the Amazon
Not sure they would add the Amazon though the rogue is too similar
Glad to see open minded forum gamers🥰
Well, we’re practically at Paladins at this point, so… endorsed. Idc what gods it worships or what dead language it speaks… just give me mostly physical, mostly melėe-focused “blessed” knight. Auras? Yes. Call them “Hermes’ boons” for all I care.
What you asked for doesn’t sound like it would please the weeb and LGBT community.
You’ll get a pink fox lesbian and you’ll be damn happy with it.
Blizzard currently.
Stretching so hard to be heard! You feel soooooo unheard & unappreciated, you precious flower.
Shoo, you’re boring.
Spartan men slept with each other as a means of firming up martial bonds - it supposedly made them more formidable, fearless fighters. Even the “lifestyle-tolerant” Athenians made fun of them for their excess. Hollywood doesn’t depict what “hazing” was like in those boot camps, but I’m sure your barely repressed imagination can connect the dots.
Go find a support group for historically illiterate navel-gazing fans of burly men in red skivvies, there’s no shortage. Ride with them into the genetic sunset, holding hands.
Correction: red cape, black skivvies. Pretty lame movie IMO.
I find constant pandering to those crowds “boring” too. Take your own advice and “shoo”.
Brother, I wish they would make this real DAMN that would be beyond cool
Gladiator hero!
Gladiators are defensive focused heros that favor strategic melee combat. The gladiator has very limited ranged attacks.
Cannot use 2h weapons.
Shield required. A gladiator cant use most skills with no shield.
Weapons can use: 1H Sword, 1H Mace, 1h Axe, Dagger, Glaive, and Spear.
Glaive
Inherent is 5% chance to dodge, block, and parry.
Spear
Inherent is 5% crit chance and 5% parry.
Resource: Power. Gladiators gain back power on block, dodge, and parry which they use to unleash devastating attacks. Gladiators do not regenerate power in combat but do regenerate to full power over 5 seconds while not in combat.
Parry is a Gladiator only ability. Gladiators get a 5% bonus chance to dodge, parry, and block and 10% more max health.
When a gladiator parries a melee attack he prevents the damage of the attack and immediately strikes back in melee.
When a gladiator parries a ranged attack he reflects it back to the attacker at 25% damage.
Parry is capped at 50%.
Gladiators automatically gain combat buffs. There are 5 they can trigger. Each lasts for 5 seconds.
Blood Lust - Crit defeated an enemy. +50% crit damage.
Art of War - Parried, dodged, or blocked an attack from an elite. +50% elite damage.
Retaliate - Got stunned or immobilized or slowed. +20% attack speed when CC ends.
Swiftness - Out of combat for 3 seconds. +30% movespeed. This can exceed movecap.
Big Game Hunter - Boss deals damage to you. Crits that damage a boss will execute if below 15% or less life. Works on all bosses including world boss.
Thoughts?
its just a simple warrior wht diablo misses from d1
I had a similar thought. We need a true Roman Legionary to bring the heathen barbarians to heel.
This is the real answer though. They’ll mess it up either way, may as well just bring the original trio back together so they can all be broken together. I really miss finding the spellbooks tbh.
what is it about all the “Limitations”
That is not fun. It’s already annoying me to hell that my Barb can’t use a shild, throwing axes, dual wield Big 2 Handed swords, Use Frenzy with a 2 Handed weapon, use Bash with a blade.
The barbarian was the Swiss army knife and rightfully so. In D4 he is crippled.
I dont know, maybe try making all skills viable for all late game content on the 5 existing classes. If they overhauled druids it be a new class at this point, as most have never played them.
They aren’t though. 5 of our 6 classes are classic Diablo classes…
Maybe D4 will be the one to change this, we’ll have to wait and see man.
Yep! Who knows, maybe in the next Expansion there will be a new class that looks like Goro from Mortal Kombat with 4 arms. So he will hold 4 weapons and wear 4 rings at the same time…And then Barb would think to himself: “I wish I had 4 arms like that”
Well…if they really manage to support the game for 10 years as they said was planned initially (but we all know what happened when they said something similar about D3), and add a class a year, they will probably have plenty of time to come up with new stuff AND do some nostalgic picks.
It’s not like the franchise has dozens of classes to pick from at the moment, considering some of them will never come back (looking at you generic Warrior and female-only Amazon).
I am also curious how much each class changes with the expansion. Do they add one or two skills, or do they add a whole new specialization (like adding D3’s Wizard’s arcane magic to sorc, giving Rogue the ability to have two crossbows to cover the D3 Demon Hunter fantasy without having to add the Demon Hunter etc.)
that would just be the Amazon. nothing new.
