New Bosses - Lower the Hardness FFS

I am 185 paragon Blood Necro - followed all the guides - My gear is 8/10 and being 1 shot by Duriel, Andriel and all the hard end bosses. Absolutely ridiculous. You guys test this stuff or what?!!! How the HELL do you expect anyone to make progression when you make it THIS frustrating. FIX it!!!

What do you think will make the difference in your gearing/approach? More dr? More life? Evade the nasty abilities?

Which pots are you running?

Which build guide are you relying on?

Assuming your at least cap armor/resists, have you tried jacking up resist cap for the damage that’s punishing you?

Edit: and yea, drop back a tier when needed as others suggest - why not?

The hardest boss in this game is randomly crashing to desktop multiple times a play session and being unable to complete 10 wave infernal hordes because of it…

I love to use my consumables to ensure im buffed before I crash and then use another load when I log back in, only to crash within 5mins again. Great experience.

I don’t get that…

Would probably prefer that over the ”Infinite load screen so i have to delete the game in task manager” that i keep having this season

Yeah well mine is teleporting to another town or waypoint and then the game just hangs right there. Causing me to miss out on a world event. I thought it was fixed last season but nope, it’s back.

same thing happening here. always at 8-10, I’m guessing because the counter doesn’t work.
truly fun times.

I hate to tell you, either you can lower down difficulty (T3 perhaps?) or get better.

If others can do it so can you.

I can try to say something so Mean right now… lol BUT… clears throat…

Maybe you should try lower torment levels or ask/look for group play to help beat the bosses…

Wow…
It’s hard being nice…

no that’s far better, i have that too and i prefer it. its less frequent and you also “fail” whatever you are doing before you start. I would rather that then crashing mid way through something.
For example, crashing just before the pit boss, or while looting pit boss before clicking upgrade glyphs… on wave 8 of 10 waves with insane good RNG knowing you are getting way over 1000 aether… having 1000 aether and crashing on the boss… crashing on a mythic undercity run… spending 50mil gold on a legendary undercity run and crashing before looting… the list goes on. These are all things I have done multiple times this season and last.

give me infinite loading screen any day of the week please!

For the record before someone thinks its my hardware.

  • Ran prime95 for over an hour no CPU or RAM problems
  • Ran memtest86 no errors
  • Ran Furmark for over an hour to test GPU again no issues
  • Reinstalled my drivers fully, not just updated.
  • Ran repair on D4 files
  • Turned off DLSS
  • Reset graphic settings to default
  • Not had any problems with other games
  • Dev team have confirmed there is a memory leak finally… so seems its the game

Anyway off topic. sorry just wanted to add that as a couple of people commented.

FFS we have FS tested in the FS PTR and the FS Andariel wasn’t that FS crazy.

He copypasted one of the strongest builds and can’t farm t4 bosses.

Maybe the copypasting went wrong? Yikes

my same problem gone after i let the battle.net client completely exit after D4 starts.

i guess it is the client (as a web explorer by itself) hogging system resources infinitely due to a bug.

Here’s a simple, mildly sarcastic, definitely judgmental step-by-step guide to transforming from “fragile rage-Necro” into something that might actually survive past the loading screen.

  • Step 1: Realize that not everyone is skilled enough to reach the highest torment level.
  • Step 2: Realize you are currently part of Step 1.
  • Step 3: Take a deep breath, maybe go outside and touch some grass (or just breathe if you’re allergic).
  • Step 4: Lower the difficulty setting of the game.
  • Step 5: Grind gear, not YOUR gears. Complaining won’t roll perfect affixes.
  • Step 6: Get more experienced and skillful as you grind. Practice isn’t optional.
  • Step 7: Realize your brain got more paragon levels.
  • Step 8: Understand that guides are suggestions, not guarantees. Reading ≠ mastering.
  • Step 9: Learn boss mechanics instead of rage-alt-tabbing to post.
  • Step 10: Consider that getting one-shot might mean your resistances and armor are sad little numbers.
  • Step 11: Double-check if you’re stacking stats that actually help you survive, or just look shiny.
  • Step 12: Accept that mashing buttons randomly isn’t a “rotation.” It’s panic with extra steps.
  • Step 13: Stop blaming the devs for what your gear rolls and positioning did.
  • Step 14: Use defensive aspects. You know, those things in your inventory you skip because “more damage.”
  • Step 15: Revisit your Paragon board. Maybe you’re not as optimized as you think.
  • Step 16: Realize 8/10 gear is not 10/10 gear. The missing 20% matters, especially in Torment.
  • Step 17: Understand that being Paragon 185 doesn’t make you elite. It makes you medium rare.
  • Step 18: Don’t stand in poison puddles. Or fire. Or on Duriel’s breath.
  • Step 19: Remember: frustration is part of learning. Endgame is earned, not gifted.
  • Step 20: Ask yourself, “Did I even try repositioning?” because you’re not a statue.
  • Step 21: Realize that boss fights are skill checks, not free loot screens.
  • Step 22: Just because something’s labeled “meta” doesn’t mean you’re ready to use it.
  • Step 23: Check your eyesight. Blaming lag only works if you weren’t already standing in stupid.
  • Step 24: Consider upgrading your potions and using incense. It’s not just window dressing.
  • Step 25: Stop assuming the devs are out to get you specifically. You’re not that special.
  • Step 26: Watch a replay or record yourself. Self-awareness is OP.
  • Step 27: Ask for help or feedback instead of rage-posting like a caps-locked banshee.
  • Step 28: Keep going. Because if you’re still here reading this, you haven’t quit. You’re just salty. And that’s the first step toward actual improvement.

Nothing is broken. There is no reason to get this upset because you arent good enough to beat some boss. Make your build better and evade the bad.

But when you need the T4 boss kills for the season journey, it doesnt help genius.

imagine dying on bosses in DIV

I assumed it was for farming - snarky genius.

If the OP wants to tell us it’s for a quest kill, then the other suggestion players have put applies - genius.

Would you like help with your seasonal journey boss kills except for lilith because i cba doing mechanics on my day off. ?

:grimacing:

OK, so it’s a USER Issue?

Well… Doesn’t that just create a crinkle in the sheets…

Nope. My bloodwave necro handles her just fine.
