this game really lags a lot, even though in dungeons I don’t lag, but after joining helltide the internet issue came, my internet was fine but when I played diablo 4 suddenly I experienced a big lag. my friend from australia also experienced the same thing when we played when the helltide event started.
Kinda weird, i’m using unstable, crappy 4G mobile network connection and D4 is one of those few games that has unnoticable lag. even though my ping hovers between 40ms - 250ms
Thanks for posting a video of what we ALL have been experiencing since at least patch 1.0.3. It’s inexcusable that Blizzard has allowed this amount of lag for almost a week now. The game is currently unplayable.
My internet is fine. Using CTRL-R (twice) to show latency, that is also fine (well, good enough at around 100ms), but I still get spikes of rubber banding and input delay bad enough to lead to deaths.
Good grief I would not play Hardcore.
I don’t know what it is, but I don’t think it’s latency. It’s maybe bad/cheap server performance. It would not surprise me if Blizzard (like other studios MMO these days, to be fair) are using inadequate servers that will occasionally struggle in order to save money.
havent experienced any lag its either a spec issue or a regional issue although i did turn all gfx too lowest as this game runs hot AF and also theres the last setting in gfx it actually makes a huge difference heat wise and probably performance wise too
Servers are fine, I got the same as you, after few hours of playing.
If I reboot my PC, and latency is 50ms, all is gucci.
The only thing I can think of is memory related thing, what could be optimized for the client.
Then after a few hours or sometime day, it happens again. Reboot, fixes it.
I am in Dallas, and central NA has been one of the regions that this issue has been mass reported. I have checked my modem logs and monitored my connection, and it has no issues. Prior to patch 1.0.3., I had never encountered any lag spikes or latency issues with Diablo 4, including all the betas. Something has changed since patch 1.0.3. to whatever datacenter I am connecting to. I don’t know if it was the patch or a continued ddos, or whatever they implemented to hinder the ddos, but the game is currently unplayable with lag spikes exceeding 1,100ms. Normally, the latency is 50-70ms.
i play with a friend farming 70+ dungeon, we get lag issue half of time, we saw the characters die after killing packs of mobs when there was nothing to kill, no traps, nothing that could do harm…
thia game have a big lag problems.
That sounds possible. I was seeing a Windows process get high CPU after a while playing D4. Was advised to kill Battle.Net when playing and that stopped that particular issue, but I wouldn’t be surprised if something else is slowly screwing up like Battle.Net was.
I also get Battle.Net having problems starting up after I’ve been playing for a while, whereas if I close Quite quite quickly and restart, I get no issues.
I mean, it’s definitely a Blizzard thing, but it might be that regular reboots are a good idea to mitigate.
Yes, I get ten billion tons of lag any time a helltide starts up and I walk into the area. Not sure who put the lag switch in the signal path, but they need to remove it. D3 had some lag, but not like this. If you’re going to improve something, then D4 should have LESS lag than D3, not MORE.
