Nerf'd SORC again so sayonara!

Try playing a druid, it is even worse.

You could have all the streamers in the world screaming from the rooftops that there is a bug and Blizzard still wouldn’t even suspect that there is one. Plus it’s the odd season team.

can you please understand what a ptr is?

that being said, sorcs seem kinda cool for s5.

just saying tho, if you yell “REFUND!” whenever something doesnt float your boat, id say dont preorder any game at all buddy.

lets not forget, d4 is supposed to be played by adults. these forums dont show that. :nail_care: (most of the times)

Interesting. Might’ve been during the D2 days when Thunderstorm was a Sorceress spell.

They will not. They don’t come to the forums.

Cool, why announce it here if you’re actually leaving?

lolololol Good luck with that. When pre-order bonuses that you already got are tied to a pre-order, you have about 0 chance of getting a refund. About the only time that happens also comes with an account ban since they can’t take away the pre-order items.

See the bold text.

Oh. No. Please. Don’t. Go. Wait. Stop.

Kiddo, Blizz already has your lunch money, AND your expansion money that you won’t see a refund for. But hey, you’re VERY confidant that you’re gone forever, so I won’t be expecting a reply. Toodles!

The only time you would get an account ban for something like that is if you did a chargeback.

Meh. I think they should nerf the other classes down to Sorc’s level. I’m excited for S5 and having fun trying to figure out how to get a fireball build to clear pit 60 without any mythic uniques or bugged stuff. You can get pretty good uptime on FS and especially Ice Armor, it just costs you some power from elsewhere now. Ice armor has a built in CDR rune, there’s the aspect that triggers a defensive automatically, there’s ice blades, and there’s the passive that brings one defensive skill off cooldown as a lucky hit proc. There’s also Vyr’s, the Blizzard aspect, the FS aspect, the prudent heart aspect. Lots of ways to cobble together defense and now that’s a puzzle worth solving, instead of just “stack CDR until you are infinitely immune.”

There are a ton of bugs they could fix that would buff the class without even adding more stuff to it, and I’m still hoping that a lot of the uniques will get buffed.

So you want everyone to be nerfed down to struggling to do pit level 60 out of 200 levels?

Yes. Everyone should struggle to clear pit 60 with modest gear. That way, getting the mythic uniques and getting GA uniques and getting the perfect 2 and 3 GA items with good tempers and getting everything fully masterworked and getting all the MW crits in the right place still has a purpose.

There’s no difference between 60 and 200 other than a scaling difficulty meant to provide a measuring stick for how tuned your build is and how godly your gear is. No one is owed a pit 200 clear.

Who said anything about being owed a pit 200 clear? A pit 200 boss is estimated at having 4-5 quadrillion health. Good luck getting anywhere near that on your sorc even with the best gear possible. Im excluding the broken infinite flameshield fire bolt from that because that build is just stupid and shouldn’t happen.

Struggling at pit 60 with modest gear should not be a thing for any build.

Why not? It’s literally fighting monsters 60 levels above you. Why shouldn’t that be a super hard achievement? Who cares if they added another hundred+ meaningless levels of impossible difficulty beyond that?

because as of right now, even trash builds can easily clear 60 pit

if you struggle it is 100% skill issue.

I have uninstalled Diablo 4 due to re-installation of Windows 10. Haven’t install D4 back and no plan to play it in S4 or the boring PTR which need an absurd 98GB space !!!

Will only install back D4 after Blizzard release a new class balancing patch which make sense and sorcerer is viable again without bug build.

I’m actually in favour of them fixing the Flame Shield stuff, but there is no reason they had to kill sorc defenses/mitigation entirely since it was already bad without the shields due to the very low life totals. Sorc doesn’t have as many legendary affixes as other slots - you need to take the boots that make you run faster, and you need to take every affix for cooldown, crit and +x mana/sec on almost all builds, making life rolls a bit less of a priority. The shields, teleport, etc. were paramount to this class, even without the Flame Shield invulnerability gimmicks - they were required just to use the class normally.

Now, the sorc has nothing to defend itself. It’s probably the weakest class in the game. I also played a necro recently, I couldn’t believe just how less important things like cooldown reduction and essence were to proper build functioning. It makes getting offensive affixes and life rolls much easier, which in turn makes the build play a lot easier. I can play a necro to level 100 without caring about legendary affixes or gear rolls and I was pushing 30+ levels ahead of my character’s level the entire time. I am baffled how badly sorc is balanced. They added all of these kiss/curse mechanics to the class, and forced you to have so many more affixes for proper build functioning.

The enchantment system for sorc sucks. It’s gotta be the worst one too.

And then I see videos with barb pushing level 200 content just standing in the same spot and holding buttons down, and I just get really disappointed in the devs because a sorc has to teleport and maneuver and dodge everything starting around pit 80+, which is really hard when you can’t see anything due to all the spell effects.

I got a refund as soon as I read PTR patch notes. They just took away cosmetics and plat from my account and gave me back 90 Euros. Another person that I know did the same so it is possible. But we were both blizz customers for almost 30 years. Payed for games and WoW subscription for years. I guess that earned us some perks.

the problem is ptr 4 had infinite flameshield, it was reported over and over, but it still went live.

that doesnt paint a optimistic picture for this ptr.

Also it checks out with prior stuff. to this day we still have bugs from the beta.

And another thing i cant recall any prior diablolike game(arpg) that had more inventory slots on different classes. This was the dumbest idea ever made, and making it the weapon slot is even dumber, after introducing weapon tempers, it became just lol. Balancing will never get even remotely fair or close with it.

Sums it up.

S4 PTR went the way
S4 PTR went. Some fixes and problem areas were addressed for the S4 release. Praise is deserved there. In other cases, not so much. I want to say S5 PTR has a larger volume of broke and/or questionable stuff. The crystal ball says that translates to more of it breaching the “fix the bugs and questionable stuff” defense grid. Given historical precedent.

As cool as it would be to blindly expect everything to be addressed and in a tip top, polished state with a pristine, glossy finish when S5 releases
I don’t know. That sounds like it’s superb material for the next episode of “Who Wants a Bridge?”

And you’re an incredibly polite, well-functioning individual with an unparalleled ability to converse with other humans and spread positive value throughout the Universe. A gold star to you.

That’s why bugs should be fixed immediately. Bugs hide the poor offensivedefensive and boring mechanics of sorc.

Sorc is already the weakest class.
Maybe hydra will be viable in S5, but I doubt it.
Kept dying on 70 pits on boss with ball lightning builds, then made rogue and with worse gear did 80-90 pit without bigger issues.

I cant imagine they want to nerf sorc even further
