Blizzard purposely makes some things lacklustre so they can patch it and be given pats on the back for a good job.

I still go after a chase down those little buggars, although I know they won’t drop anything meaningful. More mats for my collection I guess.
First time I saw the drop, I wonder if it’s a bug.
I really cannot picture the dev team saying : " lets give them 2 items@750 per gob" for this awesome event. 
Still beats the goblins in the seething realm they drop nothing!
