Ok, I had a plan to get enough shards and eggs to run Duriel 100 x in the hope I might get 1 uber unique.
Farming = 1 helltide per hour for 10 living steel which = 2 shards. that should take around 20 mins and the rest of the hour is spent farming whisper dungeons.
lets say thats 2 dungeons in 35 mins so 1 trip to tree of whispers for 1-2 of the 4 parts you need.
You need 200 shards to run Duriel 100x so that’s 100 hours
You need 200 eggs for Duriel which is 200 of each part which with the current drop rate could take forever.
My lvl 100 HoTA/charge Barb with para maxed has no problems completing the tasks, nor taking on Duriel.
What I propose is a guaranteed 2 parts drop from the tree of whispers and a guarantee that whisper dungeons will give you a part as well.
In the end my task proved too boring / soul destroying and I stopped at 100 shards and 60 eggs so I have enough for 30 runs.
I realize that with a group of 4 pooling their resources shards would take 25 hours each but i play solo.
