I have a vested interest in Sorcs (I play an ice one myself) but I am traveling for work during the PTR and won’t have time to play. I think we all know that a lot of builds seem to have lost a lot of damage from the Firebolt changes, with nothing to replace it, making an already C-D tier class weaker. I’d like to hope that power eeks back somehow but I just don’t see it.
If any kind souls are able to really give it a go and leave feedback in the PTR forum, well, you’re doing good work
Cheers
From testing my top geared builds, with adjustments to try compensate for the loss of Conjuration Mastery, using fire damage. I can now no longer do a Pit 95, which in season 6, was cleared in less than 5 minutes. The build could go as high as 100 before.
I have tried compensating for the Conjuration damage loss by adding the new paragon board for 60% damage. Having GA glass cannon and devouring blaze on amulet. The damage is no longer there for builds that work well in season 6.
Guess we have to start looking for new ways to scale damage or settle for max Pit 90 power on “normal” high end builds.
Not sure if this is positive or negative, since Conjuration mastery could in many cases carry any build once you got a good amulet. Now it is more of a challenge and you have more options to scale damage, even if it won’t go as high as before.

My two cents.
It is a positive development that Conjuration Mastery no longer interfere, same for non-fire builds with Firebolt enchantment and Devouring blaze.
It makes things more clear, where and how certain skills should be buffed.
I hope the PTR will give Blizzard a better picture of the Sorc state (prior to reworking the enchantment system) so they can adjust/balance things better for Season 7.
While they work on fixing the Sorcerer class mechanic that hopefully happen in season 8.
