Need paladin d2

Next year Poe 2 and many more games will be released, Blizzard has a card to counter that, the Paladin, but this will only happen if the Paladin is inspired by D2, we don’t want a Crusader, a strange mix, we want the Paladin from D2, Blizzard for once in these 2 years, do something right and bring back the Paladin from Diablo 2

The Paladin isn’t the trump card so many people think it’s going to be, assuming it’s even coming.

It also won’t be what it was in D2, make peace with that now.

I’ve been here since launch bro, I’ve seen every up and down the game had to offer outside of strictly season-only mechanics. I’ve had good times and bad. Assuming because you saw one post from me that said “this game sucks” that I’ve been “I hate this game” posting for 2300 posts…lol that’s the dumbest thing here. What a clown comment.

Assuming we ever get a Paladin type class, it won’t be what people expected. Nor will it save the game for the people who are hoping it will come but dislike the rest of the game. It’s basically like asking to put a cherry on top of a rotten pie.

Now Paladin, or something similar, has been asked for since before launch. I’m not saying it won’t ever come to D4, I’m just saying if it does, be prepared for the fact it won’t be a 1:1 to D2 Paladin.

I don’t get the obsession with a Paladin. If the expansion is good then I’ll try whatever class they add, Paladin or not.

I would like to actually see a class that’s encouraged to use a shield. Not necessarily Paladin. But shield seems like a waste of a slot more often than not. The fact that shields add damage to your main weapon automatically does show how janky the base damage design of this game is but…I’d rather every item at the same item level deal the same dps than not just because changing that would make balance even more difficult.

I would want some shield-based skills, basically, and I wouldn’t be opposed to some support skills to go along with the idea of defensiveness. I don’t want to see like full tank; Diablo has never been a series where being a non-dps class (or even having the option for one) makes sense; but it would be nice to see some group dynamics encouraged.

Of course, the content would have to first actually set up opportunities where that was beneficial, however.

It will be something never before seen in a Diablo game.

LIke a Holy knight (yes, sarcasm) or barbarian that can actually use a shield.
