I have a level 68 sorc with decent equipment, unfortunately damage has been abyssmal and I am unable to sustain infinite resources like lets say cold builds. I’ve tried a couple of builds and think I have decent aspects on.
Now I am not asking for you to look at my build specifically, but my damage is like 20k on a crit(when the stars align) with a 803 power weapon, while my rogue and other sorc builds I’ve seen or tried go MUCH much higher. If anyone has a good meteor build or guide or simply any useful resource please share it with me! The build is extremely fun to play, but leveling and general PvE has become a slog as I leveled up.
I’m a meteor sorc at T34 NM. You’ll want Umbral ring and Incendiary Aspect on ring. CC damage is huge and you can also run the slowed after immobilizing aspect to increase CC time. My single biggest build defining aspect is Shattered Stars which you can’t get from a dungeon. Also the % dmg to immobilize is massive especially since every meteor should immobilize who it hits.
I am afraid I dropped Shattered Stars since I haven’t gotten one with high item level since level 60 and you can no longer update the values on the aspect. I am running the other Aspects, but I just realized I’ve somehow swapped the damage to Immobilized with damage to stunned.
Thank you for the feedback, if you have a paragon tree I can look at it would be extremely helpful. The Sorc paragon tree is extremely messy compared to Rogue, Barb or Necro.
I have Combustion but I probably the big thing is my paragon. I have the enchantment board one with the legendary node and the “Adept” glyph is my highest level one. I don’t run a core skill though. Flame shield, firewall, meteor and hydra (I use the aspect for 2 because moving ranged mobs are my weakness. Firewall is ok for the damage but I mostly use it to stand in because the passive that when I stand in it increases damage by like 20% i think and I don’t move out of it so I also use the aspect for dmg for standing still which works well with the passive 15% less mana cost when standing still and then +dmg to close targets on gear is useful too.
Just to be clear I don’t 1 shot everything in a dungeon like 1 of my necro friends but I can do content just fine. I tend to not like to go with mobs more than 6 levels above me less because of damage and more because they hit really hard. NM dungeons are about 10-12 mins.
Works for me, I don’t play meta as well. My rogue doesn’t insta delete packs. I just wanna comfortably do regular content and not have to stand for 20 second per pack in Helltides.

Helm - Frostblitz aspect( +1 nova charge) - cdr - total armor - int - mana
Gloves - Fist of Fate unique Bis , or good crafted trifecta dmg gloves with another X multi aspect
Chest - Raiment of infinite Bis , or full defensive dmg reductions
Pants - +4 Meteor , red from burning, life - bubble / 50% armor aspect
Boots - +4 Nova , Teleport , Mana cost reduction / Movement speed - Exploiter’s Aspect
Weapon1 - Elementalit’s Aspect (40% crit) - crit dmg, vuln , int , dmg to close
Weapon2- active Barrier dmg or Meteorites
amulet - aspect of control - +3 devouring / cdr / +3 defense - mana cost red / +3 masteries
ring1 - prodigy aspect - cc/ cd/ vuln/ lucky-mana
ring 2- Aspect of the Umbral or Buring restores Mana - cc /cd / vuln / lucky-mana
Glyphs- Adept / Tactician / Control / Flame-feeder /Exploit / Unleash - Destruction?
Flame Shield/Teleport/Ice Armor/Frost Nova / Meteor / Inferno // Esu Passive
Enc : Meteor/Firewall or Meteor/Frostbolt with HoarFrost
My build was not still nowhere min-maxed at 100, and the damage was not the issue, biggest drawback is close combat and the defense of Sorc i had a lot fun with the spec but for serious Nightmare dungeon pushing Ice is the King with range.
yes Novas only , that’s why you want good cdr and Nova levels… I’m no longer Meteor spec so i can’t make paragon screen for you, but i added list of Glyph’s which are main multipliers so get creative with board
