I love this game but am retired living on a fixed income. Sometimes I have to make a decision for my wife and I as to buying food or our prescriptions. There is also a lot of people now living paycheck to paycheck in this crazy inflated economy. Is this game only for the rich? Think they need a sale on they new upgrade so the rest of us can enjoy this game also.

There will be at least 25% sale in few months after release.
I would be surprised if there were not holiday sales. I think even the game at launch had sales 3-4 months after.
I bet, quite seriously, you could even save on heating costs by running the game on PC. The computer runs so hot the room temperature goes up by 10 degrees F.

Holiday sales will probably see a 15-25% sale. After that you have spring sales, summer sales, etc. This time next year you can expect it to be 50% off or more.
Trust me when I say you won’t be missing much other than a few free cosmetics from the battle pass and a couple of titles from seasonal content, assuming you even play the seasonal realm. If you don’t, and you only play Eternal, there’s no reason what so ever to get the expansion early if money is tight.

D2 Addon 2005 cost 50€, that’s about 90€ today adjusted for inflation.
Games have remained more stable in price than anything else.

Just wait for a satisfying deal. Keep playing the game, show engagement, join PTR. They keep metrics on that. If there’s a sale and you don’t like the price, don’t buy (but browse the shop logged-in). There will be a better deal. If you’re patient you might get an offer via an automated e-mail (better than public sale).

This expansion is worth about nothing… buying the expansion is the same as buying a pile of crap
You see 11 people most at a time… and if the game was so popular you wouldnt see the same 11 people everyday in a “mega server” and most people in my lobbys dont have wings and when they do we bring them to fields and have fun PS the wings didnt give any damage reduction
