If you sold it to a merchant, you can buy it back. But If you salvaged it, it was gone.
Unless you have very specific tastes, trashing any Hail of Vergas is probably the best approach.

Unfortunately, they dont recover items. I left a mythic on the floor once after boss dropped one to port and sell stuff, came back and it was gone. Opened ticket, they said they cant do anything.

as others have said - you can try to file a support ticket. But yea, its extremly unlikely you will get your item back. They just dont do it at all.
Take it as a lesson. If an item is important to you, mark it as a favorite. Lets hope thats the first and last time this happens to you.
Did we learn a valuable lesson today? Mark items as favorites, problem solved. The feature is included in the game for a reason.
But I do suspect this is just another post and run thread.

That should 
no problem. Just write a small friendly message containing all accidently scrapped 4GA items to the support team. Most of the times you just receive a “4GA bulk box” quickly in your DIV mailbox in Kyova-Chad. Doubleclick and you have every single mythic item as a 4GA version. Enjoy. 
If he lacks the basic common sense to understand posting here will not get a GM or his item back then anything is possible.

I mean, not that it matters to me … I don’t switch gear without a clear upgrade, & once I get the clear upgrade I want my obducites back, so the old piece goes into the scrap bin & life moves on 
But still, it’s always interesting to learn new things!
O, right, keeping things in the armory or whatever for future builds … yea, that’s also not a thing I do, because REASONS!!!

open a ticket and tell the staff that you are a bengali sikh, and that Hail Of Verglas is a sikh turban that means a lot to your religion.
