As a career Necromancer player, I am shamed to say that the uniuqe weapons for necromancer are absolutely useless. When Blizzard introduced Sanguivar, Blade of Zir, this was the final straw and I had to say something in the forums about this.
The new unique weapon for necromancer in season 8 completely misses the mark. Go watch any of the necromancer streamers talk about it, but this isn’t the only weapon. Mortacrux is also a useless weapon. Mortacrux which ironically came out in season 5 with the uniuqe reworks is ironically worse than black river which is also useless.
Bloodless scream, basically useless and has never been used on any meta build before.
Lidless wall and Sanguivar also suffer from the same issue that these uniques are designed for Ultimate builds that were brought into the mainstream in season 7 with the new scaling that made them actually useful, then Blizzard decided that entire builds revolving around ultimates was too much so the ultimately nerfed all the ultimate builds into the ground in the season 8 PTR, making builds like army of the dead, bone storm, and gutted any viability of their use. This also makes the unmaker uniuqe useless. Sanguivar will be a useless unqiue the day it eas born like its brother the Mortacrux.
Does Blizzard really want to nerf builds out of the game? Or do they want to add builds?
Last I checked, there are zero new Necromancer builds coming in season 8, and several builds are disappearing from the class. That’s what nerfs and useless uniques do for an ARPG.
Scale back on the nerfs to ultimate skills and rework the uniuqes. How can an item take up an entire weapon slot and be useless at the same time? Two weapon slots in the case of Sanguivar and Bloodless scream. These wepaons need to be reworked. They are useless.
