When playing couch coop on PS5, the necromancers minions randomly seem to disappear and be unsummonable. This was an issue at launch and we have been actively avoiding playing as a minion build, however with the all the changes in season 4 we had hoped the issue would have been fixed. It has not. As has been stated in other older posts, it seems to be related to transitions between zones, so TPing to town or just moving zones seems to cause it. One thing to note is that it seems much more prone to happening in the higher difficulties where monster density is higher and where you really want your minions. The current work around is to TP to town and back, which fixes it about 80% of the time. Yesterday we played through on world tier 2 and only encountered it once, however today we played through world tier 3 for about 45 mins and it happened 7 or 8 times. Which was enough for us to not want to play for the rest of the evening. It’s frustrating to see something persist from launch without being fixed. We have been really excited by the new season but now that’s gone because one build is constantly hamstrung and having to repeatedly return to town to fix it is highly disruptive To the flow. I haven’t tested this as a solo player but hopefully this post will reignite the discussion on this problem.
Happens to me aswell on ps5 and gets very annoying. If you get teleported by player 1 (player 1 should move far away and player 2 shouldn’t move) the minions also respawn. Hope it gets fixed soon.
I have the same problem on Xbox one. I dont think IT will be fixed soon, cuz this problem is going and going since season 1 started. So support had a lot of time to do something with this creapy thing…

Playing co-op on Xbox SX and found the same issue: Skeletal warriors and mages stop spawning even when consuming a corpse, and the badge greys out for both and goes to zero when all existing minions die. Our fix is resetting book of the dead (as opposed to teleporting or climbing/jumping). But, it’s almost unplayable at certain times. Resetting book of the dead during a boss fight is the opposite of a good time.
HOWEVER, WE MAY HAVE FOUND A SOLUTION! - Field of view adjustment
Under start menu, go to the game menu (same menu where you can “leave game”). Then:
OPTIONS > GRAPHICS > VIEW DISTANCE > Set to “FAR”
We played for a couple hours last night including the last two boss fights for the VoH expansion. Not once did we have to reset minions. The prior night, before the adjustment, we spent 30 min clearing the necropolis and reset minions no less than a dozen times, once in the middle of the final boss. It’s too early to say this is a total fix; but if not, it’s a HUGE reduction in the minion bug occurrence.
Also, we found that couch coop is much more enjoyable with the “far” setting: Awareness and movement are much improved.
