Hello fellow necromancers, I am following the ice spear bone spear guide, who is saying that you should get your essence back by using corpse explosion paired with blighted corpse explosion.
Now I know that you need the aspect that gives you 2-4 essence when you hit a crowed controlled enemy, but I fail to understand how this corpse explosion controls enemies.
From what I see when they are standing in the blight they are slower but I don’t understand why, as I don’t have any point to make it slow them.

I dont know amything about that build but there is a talent called Grim Harvest that when you consumena corpse you gain essence.
For what you are talking about i dont think it is tje corpse explosion that is slowing. I am guessing its the frost mages that are doing the slowing and corpse explosion is hitting the slowed to gain back the essence. By useing blighted explosion which acts as a dot as long as mobs are slowed by the mages and in the blight you are potentially gaining essence and are free to cast your spender.

Is that build using Decripfy in any way? Because that has a slow. Maybe the build refers to the ability ‘Blight’? that slows enemies hit.
no, I got it, he uses tendrilss with improved tendrills which adds a slow.
