Necro minions are too op. I tried as many builds as possible, but they are not as strong as the minions. This needs to change ASAP. No, I do not like minions. I do not like bloodmisting around like a noob waiting for some minion to do the work for me. Thoughts?
Minions are fine.
There are a few builds online somewhere I’m sure that have a build you can copy/paste that doesn’t involve letting them do the lifting for you
I personally use them as meat shields and shadowblight procs, I don’t invest in their damage and it works fine by me

Just have to play a different build even if its not meta. I’m playing FO sorc because it looks cool and is fun and doesn’t rely on me spending billions of gold (or rl money) or farming for hundreds of hours to find the correct gear and get the mw’ing required to play an immortal build with perma flameshield. So far I’ve done a 102 or 103 i cant remember without perfect gear or mw’s.
Btw, i’ve played both minion necro and bash barb and both are incredibly dull and boring in my opinion. Nothing flashy about those builds.
Play something else that you like.

That is the problem. We are kinda forced to play this or that or risk not being effective. That’s not good and is my point here.

But I mean… How could they? Not only they inherit 100% of the necro stats, but one could additionally buff them. This means, especially now in practice, minions are OP. All other builds cannot get that powerful. There is just no way. That is a problem for balance. It’s OK, if it is slightly off, but in this case it is not slightly, it is too much.
I think Minions are finally worthwhile and should be left alone. Instead, look at ways to make other builds just as viable instead of gutting them because they are one of the best now.

If anything needs a looking at its probably the damage the golem does, its a bit overtuned. Or blizz could go the fun way and just buff everything else.

True. I can’t even get a core skill build with gf or triple greater affix to do as much damage as this broken golem. LOL This is wrong!
I’ve played bash barb and yes, that also is overtuned, but we are talking about minion necros on this thread.

Also, minions are just the flavor of the month atm. If the devs believe it needs to be brought in line, I am sure they will. But minions are nowhere near as broken as immortal sorc, bash barb or hearseeker rogue atm.

Wrong. You can make Bone Spirit hit for 10+ billion.
I’ve yet to see a single Necro build that can’t clear 61.
Necros aren’t forced into any build. If you truly believe that, you are a poor Necro player.
