Corpse explosion costs nothing… spam spam spam spam spam = clear full screen before anyone can do anything in your party. Basically playing a game called follow the necro… imo, need to give it a resource cost or charges that replenish.
I can’t be the only one who feels this way…
It’s just not fun following my friends around pack to pack barely hitting stuff over and over.

Oh should of seen my build… i didnt even have a basic atack slotted.
There was a legendary that gave blood mist the abilty to auto detonate corpses as well as for every corpse consumed it lowered the cool down. Mine by 1.1 sec per corpse. It was a machine gun of explosion.
Use reapears with their abilty to create corpses with their attacks, golom droping corpse when damaged. Then there were two passives 12% chance on doing damage would drop a corpse double that on bosses and another that you get 9 resources back for every corpse exploded. Then blood mist had a passive that droped corpse ever sec.
Didnt need a basic skill as a builder. I could just chain blood mist over and over… was damn powerful. Used bone spear to get the first kill of a pack and most of the time it was a one shot then blood mist away.

I’ve seen this build definitely makes me not wanna group with necromancer… sadly one of my good friends said he wants necro for first class…
Might just tell em I’m not grouping with any necros on my first play through.

You may as well not group with a pulverize druid as well. It can pretty much one shot packs as well.
I miss my monk Bell build… and multishot demon hunter… and my rend WW barb… >…> slaughtered everything.
Ehh I’m not worried about that the aoe for that spells not that bad, plus it costs resource// can’t spam it.
Umm… with howl and trample giving resources its damn close. I mean technically corpse explosion isnt spamable as if you dont have a corpse its not doing anything.
Such as the world boss… the corpse build slows way down as your minnons get blasted pretty fast.
Corpses are a resource. So to say it doesnt cost resourse isn’t accurate. Even the devs in the Necromancer break down states that corpse are a resource.

This is truth, even with my pets “Shedding” corpses themselves on boss fight. it was still slow AF.
But the build is good for all single player content sure. with lots of mobs around.

I think a big problem is there is not a lot to do with corpses besides that.
There is tendrils, which maybe end game becomes more worthwhile, but early game your killing so quick who cares about grouping enemies up.
Then there is raising/healing/buffing minions. But again, early game you don’t need many corpses for that.
So that “resource” just goes to waste if you don’t use explosion somehow.
Be nice if there was some aspect that buffed skills based on number of corpses around necro or transformed a skill to stronger version that consumes corpse.

Corpse explosion doesnt help in solo boss fight with the occasion minions spawning or in world boss. I couldnt keep up with dpsing with the blood mist build for world boss. Its fun for the immunity but thats it, you will be playing catching with boss while waiting for blood mist to cool down. No minions as they cant survive bosses AOE. Its a fun build for youtube content but I dont see it viable for boss fight. Bone build however with all the sacrificed minions is prob the way to go.

Then add Bone Spirit and add +max essence to your build, voila, boss damage.
What they really need it sounds like is an auto follow that has auto teleport capabilities so you can go to the movies while your friend wipes the screen…

I agree with the world boss with the corpse explosion build… totally disagree with dungoen boss at least in this beta on tier 2.
I had no issue with corpse with hew corpse passive and the reapers and mist corpse spawns.
On all other bosses including the levrl 35 rare spawn on the west part of the map it worked very well. By the time i ran out of resources with bone spear the damage and minions had created 4 or 5 more corpses then add the 3 from blood mist was plenty to get resources back to full as well as a large chunk of damage and resetting blood mist.
Now with scaling to world tier 3 and 4 who knows.
Also i want to add a caveat here… we were playing level 25s that were capped in leveling so we were able to stack legendarys and min/max more then a leveling character would ever have. So i would never ask for nerfs this early as we have a unrealistic view of what max level and a normal leveling characters power is at 25.
I never did the world boss. But my no basic or core attack necro had massive amounts of corpses on bosses & i was able to keep them full life with the skeleton preist (had some points in the last skill tree passives). I had to walk up to a few bosses just to see what they looked like before i killed them from afar. Including the last main story boss.
