In a party the necro has their corpses despawn at ridiculously fast rates, sometimes instantly, regardless of proximity to their party. This is ridiculously dangerous when the build revolves around corpse useage.

I believe theres a limit to the # of corpses and if you split up in a party when your friends are killing stuff it generates a corpse, the limit gets reached fast and your corpses start disappearing.
Whats even more confusing is that some corpses will stay visually on your screen but if you try any corpse skill it won’t do anything because that corpse has already disappeared and the game hasn’t updated it visually.
This is a huge oversight and pretty much kills party play for necro.

The problem is that it happens even while grouped tightly. I understand if they’re trying to dissuade parties from splitting by making corpses spawn anywhere they could be created, but they despawn instantly while next to my party sometimes. Truly infuriating and debilitating. D:

Same Problem here, since the Dungeon fix my Corpses go also away pretty fast.

Same problem, and I just run with a friend who plays barbarian. Near instantaneous despawn.
Same issue but while solo
This is one thing I miss from D3 and POE. As long as you didn’t exit the game, stuff stayed in place. I get why they re spawn mobs, but every time you come out of a dungeon there is the same mob you killed before you went in, minus the corpses.
honestly I think they have it set at a certain corpse # cap to avoid too much ground clutter. Personally I feel like it’s adding more stress onto the system to be trying to delete them at near instant speeds as opposed to just giving each corpse a timer and if you aint used it after 2 minutes or somethin it disappears. That way they could just program the corpses to disappear on their own instead of needing to program the system to monitor corpse # then evaluate which corpses need to disappear on some weird heirarchy scale. That should, theoretically, remove stress on the system and cause smoother gameplay. But what do I know, I eat paint out of my mom’s basement.
