Necro and Sorc make Veteran mode trivial

Veteran mode is not a challenge at all for the overpowered Necro and Sorceress.

Buffing every other class to their ridiculous level will NOT solve this. Only nerfing the OP classes can solve it.

Some people want to breeze through every encounter and just have the power fantasy. Great! Play Normal; that’s what it’s there for.

Please don’t make Veteran mode trivial. Some people actually want the challenge.

Also, buffing everyone’s power and making the playthrough trivial ruins the story. When enemies are introduced as scary, but you know they’ll be complete pushovers, there are no stakes!

I for one like my chill Necro build.

Nah.
The challenge comes at endgame and higher difficulties.
Buff Barbie and Druilla.

It’s Act 1. Nothing is going to be a challenge if you know what you’re doing.

Bow Rogue I had issues with two bosses, period. Main campaign and most dungeon bosses didn’t stand much of a chance.

Is D3 challenging for you on the second out of 20 levels?

Necro was a blast to play! but goodness Blood Surge felt like a screen nuke. Most of the time i just stood there and soaked all the damage to be healed by my skills. I feel it is a bit over tuned, but that could just be the early levels.

lol just stop to complain about nerf or OP Chars in a Early-Game Area… we need to see how all characters will work in a end-game layout. Maybe just Druid need some love at the beginning.

Judging a class op at first act is silly.

Veteran mode is a ‘skilled noob’ setting

We don’t know what the strong difficulties hold yet.

Also, does world tier affect private dungeons and drops? It only seemed to affect gold and exp gain afaik. Not sure about dungeons.

I assume it affects the entire experience. It’s really not worth playing on veteran and gaining extra exp faster because you level up more with less equipment, which is really what makes it more difficult :stuck_out_tongue:

Later, WT3 and 4 are required to access the beyond content and higher level enemies and drops.

Not at all.
And it sucked that all the D3 difficulty settings lower than Torment 1 were basically the same. Make difficulty settings actually matter.
D3 Inferno was a challenge before they nerfed it.

Yes, buff barbarian, 280k crit not enough

Tip. Veteran mode is actually only insignificantly harder than Normal mode.

So the difficulty settings will be:

Noob
Noob
Locked
Locked
Locked
?

It undermines the story, tone and art direction completely, is my point.
“Oh, it has a dark horror vibe - but everything dies in 2 seconds and nothing is a threat to you. I’m so scared!”

Barbarian doesn’t need damage buffs. I’m like 99% sure it’s going to be the biggest dps in the endgame. It needs sustainability and evasion buffs for early game.

Druid…. Druid is just all over the place. The pet AI is atrocious. I had a really fun crit wolf build that used the CC on butchers cleaver to sustain. The storm spells feel like garbo. The earth skills are disgustingly strong but really clunky to use. And hurricane is a crap skill. Why even give us the good skills for early leveling if they are going to be poop tier. It’s the same as unlocking them at lvl 30 in d2……

It’s too early to say if sorc and necro are going to sustain high dps in mid and end game or if it will fall off. Blood mist CE is 1000% getting nerfed tho.

Oh yeah and the bats and ghouls are pointless trash mobs. Either buff their damage numbers or remove them from the game. I stood in a pile of 50 of them afk and didn’t die

But… But… But… NERF SORCS AND NECROS!

Barb is sleeper OP, problem is the general pop just plugs random stuff in and expects to kill everything. The reason why sorc is good, is you can dartboard a build and it works since the class is the most completed. Barb has to stack mults, then melts faces!

What about the other two difficulties, have you forgot about them? Yeah. If you’re struggling on veteran then you’re going to quit once you get to them.

In a loading tips, i had good insight of what to expect from Difficulty, I’ll quote

“In each higher World, monsters are more challenging, They run faster; their projectiles are more accurate and faster; their powerful attacks have reduced cooldown and are stronger; and Elite affixes are more powerful”

Also in Tier 3, we will have Champion (which is stronger Elite) that also have damage reduction auras and are probably way more powerful with more affixes.

the challenge is T3 and 4 mate. Normal is for beginners overall. Do agree Sor and Nec need to be looked at
