The curiosity vendor gave me a nice little legendary helmet with bonus on barrier, once barrier is active… but I cannot find a single skill with barrier?
only way necro gets barrier is through an aspect.
There is a talent tree branch that currently does not work that is supposed to provide fortify. Necrotic Carapace is supposed to proc off Hewed Flesh, or at least it DID in earlier betas.
There is two easy barriers to get. The first one is an Aspect from the Dungeon: Lost Archives, which upon completion of the dungeon you can add it any time to certain equipment pieces. The other barrier comes from the story line upon finishing ACT 1 on a legendary Necklace that always drops.
Important to note: All special abilities gain additional bonus from the Weapon slot, Amulet and Ring slots over other equipment pieces that its attached to.
fortify is not barrier tho.
