Ever since… I think Diablo 2, having a character with a clever name has always been important to me. Especially if the names have to be unique, but even when they aren’t. The funnier, punnier or more clever the name is, the more I like the character. I know a lot of people don’t even care what their character looks like, let alone what their name is, but I chalk that off as simply being unimaginative.
Anyone want to share their clever names before we see them in game, in all their glory?
I typically like to name my characters a pun on their skills they’ll be using, or their appearance. In this case, my weather forecasting storm druid is also obese…
I’ve been playing Diablo since late1997/ early 1998. Have had the same name ever since. My sorceress then was Mystique. In D2 when someone got that name first, I changed it to Mysteek and it has been the same ever since. I’m hooked on sorceress, so the name fits So, in answer to the question, yes, names matter to me.
I have to have a serious name that I can stand looking at, just like my character needs to be appealing. That’s why I won’t be a druid named Forkcaster - no offense haha
