One of the things I have loved the most about Diablo games, is that you could choose to play the game at the difficulty you’d like.
D4 on the other hand have lost this feature, there is no way to take as step back to farm better gear before proceeding with the journey, The level scaling feels way off,
got to a point now where i was thinking “oh no…” when i was leveling up, which is (obviously) not a good experience.
It feels more like a punishment to level up than a reward at the moment.
I hope this will change, but i’m not holding my breath though.
D3 made the game too casual friendly.
Yeah d4 isnt all that complicated, yet too complicated for the d3 players
Yeah, I’m REALLY hoping they don’t make the same mistakes with D4 that they made with D2 and STARTED to make with D3 until they took out stupid nightmare and hell diff and added torments. I was hoping they learned their lesson, but here we are again… having to repeat content.
Level scaling is lazy game development.
When you level up you should immediately feel more powerful, but with level scaling you are immediately LITERALLY less powerful than the monsters around you that also leveled up and will STAY that way until you can find level-appropriate gear.
I miss the days of having specific areas that were for specific levels and difficulty… which also scaled up the loot, etc.
I havent had any issues with it. I like having mobs that dont die from facerolling.
You can still pick the difficulty you like. You’re just not going to have your hand held through it like in D3.
What would be the point of those areas on D4? Anything can drop anything.
Umm… what?
Hand-held in D3?
It was far more customized as an experience with the torment levels. Plus if you wanted to just grind and experience the leveling/building aspect you could with rifts and Grifts, etc.
How is that hand-holding exactly?
The point would be to have areas where things are harder than other areas??
Have you not played a MMORPG or something?
You literally had an entire set thrown at you every season that turned you into a map-clearing god.
That’s not hand-holding at all…yeppers.
“thrown at you”
Tell me you didn’t play D3 without telling me you didn’t play D3.
So in other words, you are just bad at the game
Why make racist comments, who hurt you?
That would result in a very small area and less variety of places to farm. It also creates situations where you’re hesitant to group up with others outside of leeching gear/xp until you’re both max level.
Before WoW had level scaling one of the arguments was that they created this beautiful zone that you’d level out of and never have a reason to go back.
Theres a reason d3 is/was dead you cornball
What racist comment? Knuckle dragger? Calling somebody an ape is racist? ok bro
Sure smells like Diablo 3 in here.
They got your money bro.
People copiuming for buying to a 120 dollar game to be a beta tester.
