How do you all feel about those Uniques that share slot with Mythics (head, chest, ring, sword)?
Especially about the Uniques that are “build defining”?
obs: the question is vague because I don’t want to direct the answer in any direction… just say what comes to mind.
I’d say it is a consequence from initial design of the game and not really a cool-headed decision
They decided to add some uniques that were more powerful than most right off the bat and that’s what produced the Mythics (i.e. initially named Uber-uniques by the community and there were just a few of those)
But say if I were to “extract” a distinction is that Mythics kinda tend to be all-class usage kind of items as opposed to the “normal” Uniques which are usually and more often than not class-preferable
Its good to have choices. Yes some uniques are build defining, mythics are not.

If defense mattered more there would be a lot more of a tradeoff in slotting the same few damage mythics in non-damage slots.
I don’t like the idea of just avoiding certain slots because they have a powerful mythic there because that takes away even more build diversity and that’s already a big enough problem. Everyone dislikes the D3 sets, yet look across the endgame builds in D4 and it’s just as bad.

just swap them according to situation.
