Observation made with 8 members of my clan:
4 players who played PTR season 5 and 4 others who did not play it.
Observation carried out on several series of tormented bosses from 20 to 40 runs:
Players who have not played PTR have 0 or 1 or 2 Mythics loot per series.
Players who have played PTR have 1 or 2 or 3 Mythics drops per series.
2 players out of the 4 who participated in the PTR got double loot from 1 boss.
How do you explain this difference between the PTR players and the others?
A 6GB patch for those who did not participate in the PTR against a 3GB patch for those who played it.
I’m posting here because even if I have 2 full Mythic characters, other PTR players already have 3 full Mythic characters
I understand the frustration of a player who makes a rota with 3 other players who participated in the PTR and who sees that 3 players drop Mythics, while he got nothing.
Going to need a bigger sample size than just 20 to 40 runs. We’re talking upwards of 1-10k runs all with identical parameters. When you have that data come back, share your findings, and we’ll see if it’s bugged. Good luck.
I never played any PTR and I got 4 mythics in just a few tormented runs a few days ago
It’s all rng
Only thing I noticed myself is that I got them all 4 while doing bosses solo and I got 0 mythics while in a party
This is no where near the sample size you would need to “prove” anything.
When dealing with miniscule drop rates you will not see your overall data approach the probability consistently until you have magnitudes more examples.
A little respect please won’t hurt. I’m talking here about the observation made between 8 players from the same clan over several runs including 20 to 40 tormented bosses each. I’m not saying that I don’t loot Mythics. I’m actually quite lucky. But the difference in Mythics drop rate between those who played PTR and others who didn’t is different. Afterwards I post here because perhaps other players have noticed the same thing.
I did get a spark for the first tormented kill of the season , that makes 2 sparks , wooopeeee, dont have enough stones to run bosses , stones are stingy.
All the people jumping in here saying the ubers are not uncommon have purchased stones with credit cards , 100 %
You need a sample of 1000’s/10’s of 1000’s not 100’s lol. Also OP that’s not how probability works, and drop chance isn’t additive. You have a 1.5% chance of a mythic dropping, you just have more chances per run that one of the uniques will be that purple beam.
