Mythical uniques drop rate

Hi there. I have killed tormented bosses in Tier 2 and Tier 3 over 400 times and I have not received one purple item. I have submitted a ticket to Blizzard and they have asked me to submit it here because the drop rate is meant to be 7.5% with a chance to get one within 10 to 15 tormented boss runs. I am not getting anything from any boss run, but other people in my clan are. The drop rate that is calculated is incorrect.

“Tormented Bosses, Duriel, and Andariel have 5 chances to drop a Mythic Uniques at 1.5% chance each . This means they can drop multiple Mythic Uniques at a time! Mythic Uniques always drop with maximum roll ranges on their affixes.” Each of the 5 drops have a 1.5% chance to be mythic unique. Its not a 7.5% chance overall its 1.5% chance for each of the 5 possible drops the boss gives you.

To clearify if the boss drops 5 items you have 1.5% chance for each piece of loot they drop.

I think something is wrong. Ran all the Uber Bosses torment IV, almost 50 runs of each (300 total) and no Uber Unique over the last week.

The ONLY time i’ve gotten a Mythic unique to drop is during a Tribute of Ascendance run. Just do whispers to get the tribute. Mythics will still drop with a 3/4 rank prize level. I’m in the same boat, tons of T boss runs and I barely get 1 GA uniques let alone a Mythic. I’ve vendored countless normal uniques from T4 bosses, like multiple bags full of normal only uniques in a row. I’m still using multiple 1 GA pieces of gear and I’m Paragon 225.

Well, just ran Duriel and Andariel about 100+ times total and no Mythics. Did probably another 50-100 of the other tormented bosses and no mythical either. That probably makes at least 500 runs in the last 10+ days.

The only Mythic I got in the last 10 days was during a Tribute of Ascendance run. I have run it ~4-5 times and got 1 (Harlequin). I did get Mythics to drop from the bosses a couple of weeks ago, but I think none since the last patch.

What I have noticed is that there is a 100% chance for a rune to drop with Duriel and Andariel (and probably a 10-15% chance it is Legendary) and the other bosses are 50-75% chance to get a rune, maybe same chance at a legendary.

Even with RNG, the statistical odds of not getting a Mythic (in 500+ runs on Torment IV that is 2500+ drops at 1.5% each drop) would be astronomically low.

I’ve been playing this game since launch, and i have yet gotten a uber/mythic unique. Over a year, there’s no way my rng is that bad.

Patch 1.5ish changed the drop rates to 1.5%

  • Adjusted the drop rates of Mythic Unique items from Ladder Bosses to compensate for being guaranteed Ancestral quality.

Translated it means " We dropped the rate so low, that there are almost no mythics, because they are not “mythic uniques” they are “ancestral mythic uniques” now "

Its not 1.5% anymore

Dude killed 500 Tormented Bosses and 500 Duriels and showed what he got

500 Tormented Bosses gave him something like 9ish mythics and 500 Duriels gave him like 13-15 mythics on T4

Good stuff. His drop rates were better than mine, but 9 mythics in 500 runs of normal bosses, suggest a less than 2% chance. I am OK with that percentage, because with Spiritborn, I literally 1 shot all the bosses anyways, and I have tons of runes (I can craft every mythic and have runes left over).

Only issue now is getting the sparks needed to actually craft what I want. I’ll save up all my summoning items, and then run a few hundred more. If anyone here wants to run bosses maybe this weekend, I am up for it.

It has to be atleast less than 1. 5% because we clearly don’t get them like last season where it actually was 1.5% for each drop.

I can’t believe that they increase the drop rates for a item that got a rarity upgrade.

Mythic unique - - - - > always “ancestral” mythic unique, because they always have min. one greater affix or did you ever see a mythic without a greater affix in this season?

This means the adjustments blizz did was to lower the drop rates of mythics uniques because they got this rarity upgrade. You know, like a pokémon cards or yugioh cards. From ultra rare to secret rare for example or from common to holographic.

I use my brother as a example. He is farming a mount in WoW, it’s called invincible. This mount has a drop rate of 0.8% and he is on try 2940ish. With all the math some people did on another post to prove me wrong, that mythics drop rate is bugged, he should already have this mount. Because of probability calculations ect ect… But he still hasnt got it. He’s still farming it. And in wow it’s definitely not bugged.

Some people have really bad luck, some people only have bad luck, some people have good luck and some other people have godlike tier of luck.

9-13 uniques in 4 hours is super good. He got super lucky. After 3 days of farming, yes whole 3 days of farming, I only got one mythic

I play on PC, some of my friends play on PC and some on consoles. We’ve noticed that when we play in group, the guys on consoles get mythical items 4-5 times more often. This happens every single time. Can they balance the drop rates…

I play on console and got in almost one month only 1 mythic :man_shrugging: rng is unfortunately rng. That’s the sad truth nobody here wants to hear.

Some people are luckier than other people and what do you expect from items with less than 1.5% chance to drop.

It may be even less, maybe like 1% or maaaybee less than 1%.

It’s sad that blizzard didnt say how much they adjusted the drop rates at the beginning of VoH.

Only thing we know is “adjusted the drop rates from ladder bosses because their mythics always drops with a GA”
