Mythic Uniques Drops Bugged (for sure)

I’ve ran about 60 tormented bosses with my friends, all of them got around 2 - 4 mythic drops and I did not drop any.

I’ve played all the seasons, got many mythics so far with lower chances , specially last season (which had higher cost to enter and lower drop). I feel like I’ve already cleared more uber tormented bosses this season than the last (or at least close) and I did not see any drops whatsoever.

This is for sure bugged.

Also, beast in Ice damage is bugged as well.

If noone was getting them it would be bugged. The fact your friends have got some and you havent isn’t a bug, just bad luck. You could ask for increase in drop rate or a pity mechanic maybe but it isn’t bugged just because you have worse luck than your friends.

It is not about luck, it is about math.
The chances per kill are 7,5%, in average a player should be able to drop one from 10 to 15 runs. This math has been proven and recalculated. All of my friends got this exact average drop rate.

The fact that I’ve killed 60+ uber bosses, that the drop rate was increased from last season (with 60 last season I was able to get at least 2 with lower numbers) and that many changes happened in their loot pools, such as: the beam/color, the reworks to the uniques, the fact that yellows no longer drop, that varshan materials are still dropping, that Beast in Ice is also bugged with higher drop rates than average (and higher damage as well, one hit kills), etc etc. All of this combined indicates that there must be something wrong happening with a portion of the playerbase of the game. Other issues are happening as well, when I drop an item to the floor none of my friends are able to see it, when they drop everyone can see it.

So yeah, I think it is a bug, maybe for some portion of the players they’ve included the uber uniques marked as rare itens for some weird reasons. BUT, there are some weird bugs happening to some players. Just look at the forum and you will see.

The fact that others are not having this problem does not mean it isn’t bugged for another portion of the playerbase. They were both on consoles as well and I’m playing in PC.

That’s not how “math” works. Average is just a the mean of a large sample size. So If Blizzard looks at the ENTIRE player base, it could be 7.5%. There also could be people who take 200 runs to get one, but others who get 5 in 5 runs… Their average number has a sample size behind it with outliers and if there are X million then you might just be the outlier.

There is NO way that the devs (even with how some cannot seem to fix a Dupe bug) would have items flagged differently for people in their database. The master data on the items would only be present 1 time. A Mythic item is already maxed with just a % roll to get a GA. There isn’t 100 versions of a mythic that can roll that is kept as master data.

Face it, this isn’t a bug but bad luck.

The way that this actually works is that every time a Tormented boss drops a unique it has a 1.5% chance of being a mythic. They drop like 6 or 8 of them each time you kill one. That’s still a super low chance each time. I ran like 50 tormented boss runs yesterday and I didn’t find a single mythic unique, but then two days before that I ran 40 runs and found 4 mythic uniques, it’s just entirely RNG luck. You’re just playing a slot machine where you have multiple rolls on each kill and a 1.5% chance per roll. The chances are still quite low. It’s not unusual to see no drops in 50 or 60 runs. Just bad luck, simple as that.

I’m surprised you made it to 60. I hit 36 tormented bosses just did 18 back to back today and uninstalled. I literally only want to play Andariel’s rogue build and can’t because I’m stuck at 3 sparks and can’t get mythics to drop. Not having a good time so I just uninstalled. Thank god for gamepass and not having to give bliz $60 for this trash. Back to Last Epoch I guess.

Just to illustrate how ridiculous the RNG can be in this game, I pushed past 60 all the way to 75 runs without finding a mythic, then I found 3 mythics within the next 5 runs after that, and another one ten runs later.

This is anecdotal evidence at best but I strongly believe Mythic Uniques are bugged for me as well.

I consider myself above a casual player but not a hardcore player. Started Season 5 about three weeks ago and have been over level 100 for the last week and a half or two weeks. My buddy started a character shortly after me but we have been running together most of the time, completing the same activities. We are able to complete Level 90 Pit Runs, have maxed out Nightmare dungeons, are able to complete Tier 6 Infernal Hoards, have beat all of the tormented bosses many times with the exception of Uber Lilith. We have beat tormented Durial and Andriel (probably spelled both of those wrong) at least 30 - 40 times alone.

In this time playing together, he has had 8-10 Mythic’s drop, and has gotten enough Respendent Sparks or whatever they are to craft 2 additional Mythics. I, on the other hand, have had one resplendent spark drop in that time (the guaranteed one from completing the seasonal journey I believe) and 0 Mythics. The odds of him getting 10 - 12 Mythics playing the exact same time and content as me while I’ve only only gotten one guaranteed spark has to be 1 in billions. I am convinced based on the math that my account/character is bugged.

Love this game but when I need to beat Uber lilith before the new DLC and I almost cant upgrade my character any further without Mythics for my build, it gets very disheartening. We are on Xbox for context.
