For the love of god why would you change a perfectly working system… why add RUNES to the crafting… runes are already so hard to get… now you wants us to get 3x6 runes and 2 sparks… like come on…
you can also only use 2 sparks and craft a random mythic at the blacksmith. Really, theres nothing rare about mythics.
yeah and get 15 melted heart of seligs because theyre weighted lol
i feel like you are leaving out other items you got… but hey, either way, 15 mythics you dont need are a lot of sparks. lets talk about drop rates here again.
Last season did 5 mythic caches…all were Shakos…lol
ehm… that isnt “new” so far… that sort oft crafting was allready in S7. its not unreachable. older crafting version was 4 sparks…
Yes and now its even harder to make the one you want. Not paying 50m and 2 sparks to get Melted heart every time…
it isnt harder to get runes. you got 2 choices… pay a lot oft gold or rune farming… both things are ok

What was wrong with the old system? You found 4 mythics and then could craft whichever one you wanted. Now it’s either gamble 2 or have to trade to get runes to craft. Here’s an idea. Add the 4 mythics to craft.
Every Mythic should be an immediate upgrade to a build, otherwise what’s the real point?
Clearly another thing that Blizzard by either incompetence or intent is missing the mark on.
It would have been fair to have:
- 2 Sparks for a RNG Mythic
- 2 Sparks + Runes for a specific Mythic
- 4 Sparks for a specific Mythic
Runes were just introduced as a trade item by Blizzard. They were made too easy to get in S6 and no one was trading them. The drop rate was heavily nerfed in S6 for Legendary ones which boosted trading but it was probably not enough yet. Many just obtained their Mythics doing Boss rotations and didn’t even need to trade for Runes.
No more Boss rotations this season and harder/longer to kill Bosses with maybe even lower drop rates for Legendary Runes. Rune ‘economy” are some call it is likely to be healthy this season.
Using runes is 100% unreachable. I have found 4 leg runes this entire season with 2 paragon 230 characters playing efficiently and if you want to trade, it will cost you billions of gold
I have 2 at Paragon 200.
You not supposed to find them, you are supposed to trade for them…but I guess someone still has to find them.
Agree with this mostly. They wanted to add the rune requirement to push VOH, I get that. But, in doing so, they took the base game crafting requirements backwards.
I think a better solution would be to keep the old 4 mythic crafting, and do the runes in tiers.
4 Sparks → Choose your mythic
3 Sparks + 6 runes of the recipe (3 each) → choose your mythic
2 sparks + 12 runes of of the recipe (6 each) → choose your mythic
2 sparks → Random mythic
Keep the gold price the same as crafting at the jeweler for anything other than the 2 sparks only option. This way, they would not have removed a feature that was already in the game, and given those with VOH the option to use runes to craft with less sparks.

I gambled two sparks on a blacksmith and I was lucky to get a shroud for my necro. Maining a rogue though but still useful item.
20 sparks + 3x 20 runes = guaranteed full GA mythic
