I wasted on purpose 18 sparks only to get useless garbage for any class/build. This is no different from tempering. Just another Blizzard “rng” BS and weighted algorithms designed to screw a player. Save your sparks and 50m gold.
2x Tyraels
2x Andy
2x Doom (this onE is OK )
1x Staff
2x Perd
1xShroud (this one is OK too)
The best class for crafting random mythic is rogue unless you want the Grandfather.
So, you used 18 sparks and got a pletora of different Mythics?
Where is that weighted RNG you are talking about? I mean, not alone are we talking about a sample size that doesnt matter at all here - but even if it did, it looks like a pretty solid distribution of the available mythics.
Honestly, your post clearly proves whats wrong with so many people of our community when they talk about RNG.
You clearly decided to gamble for mythics, thats cool, i do that too. Put on your safety helmet when you gamble tho, as you might not only get the mythics you want.
God - i know this is going to sound mean, but i really cant imagine how you typed this up, actually believing it would prove whatever point you were trying to get across there.
these can go to salvage and you get 9 sparks.
gamble another 4 cache hoping to get harlequin crest or starless skies.
good luck.
My question is, were these mythic’s distributed back to back in a 2x fashion, or did you record the spread how far apart before the same item hit twice?
You seem unable to acknowledge that all things bad are weighted to fall far more often than all things good in every instance of this game.
This topic is such a Fail. No way this can be “Weighted” anyway, like how is that even Possible?
Does the game Know exactly what you want and is screwing you over or something?
FALSE.
The game does not know what you want, what your aiming for. If it Somehow did, that would be a different story all together.
People want Specific things, but the RNG is there and you just may not get what you want.
I wonder if you would say the Same thing if people 100% got what you want all the time…
Just cause something a person is considered “bad” doesn’t mean it’s “Weighted”.
The last 4 digits of my Debit card number are ####. Please go to the nearest dollar general store and buy more tin foil.
Rant Done
But he literally posted a spread that shows near uniform distribution. There’s not even a slight indication of a weighted system in this post.
Game doesn’t need to know. There are 4-5 most wanted mythics and they have lower chances. I’m gambling on a rogue to avoid staffs and GF. I put another about 20 sparks to the test (thanks for the scrolls at least). I’m getting same dooms, tyraels, andys and necks. Zero shakos and rings. I’ve got another shroud though.
Same goal and zero luck so far.
It’s not worth the risk. Especially now. You’ll just be trading 2 sparks for 1. Blizzard loves to take a dump in your cereal.
It’s better to spend hundreds of millions of gold to buy the 6 legendary runes to get the mythic you want. As much as I would rather not resort to trading.
what are you after? and what class you use to craft?
I heavily suspect a user error, but I have no proof.
Another 2 necks and tyraels might lol.
I did the same thing, I still have over 200 Belial mats to spend, and MOST I’ve gotten is that Heart of Selig, and 2 starless skies, I gambled (kept gambling) till I got what I wanted which was a Doom Bringer GA on Health, (thats’ exactly what I wanted).
What’s different for you and other people is different from me.
This game doesn’t “have” to know anything other then what we are trying to accomplish in the 1st place, which is a specific Mythical Unique.
Regardless to all of that, just make alts, farm your scrolls from Belial and get your sparks.
Boom, your done.
The purpose of this is to test blacksmith mythic gambling chances while we have unique opportunity with this season to farm sparks. I’m farming 30K of spectral ashes while doing bosses and buying reputation scrolls. It’s enough to make two fresh characters and push seasonal journey to XVIII to get spark. Seasonal chests provide boss mats for another 30K ashes farms. Endless loop and sort of entertaining xD. In addition I use sparks from unwanted mythics in a boss drop. I’m gambling on rogue. Goal is to get as many as possible of harlequin crests , starless skies and the shrouds.
I think you’d do everybody a great service by letting us know all of your results. In all honesty.
There is a reason why OHM and EOM are so sought out it’s because most people realize it’s better to craft the actual unique you want over blind gambling lmao
You have gambled 10 times with 10 possible items and 2 you need.
The chance of 10 times not getting any of the 2 is 0.8^10 = 10.7 %.
Let’s assume you want only the last item now, the chances of getting the item in another 10 tries is:
1 - 0.9^10 = 65 %.
So only 2 in 3 players get this in 10 tries.
And needing exactly the right GA is much more difficult, that’s more like 22 % chance in 10 tries. So only 1 in 5 will get that.
For me that sounds more like Observer bias or a similar effect.
The result seems perfectly reasonable, but you want Blizzard to be the bad guy.
By the way, creating another class to get only 9 different Mythics is a really good idea.
10 tries with 1 in 10 chance is a 1 - 0.9^10 = 65 % chance of getting at least one time this item.
10 tries with 1 in 9 chance is a 1 - (8/9)^10 = 69 % chance of getting at least one.
This post is such fail.
I saw a Youtube streamer gamble on a cache and get a 4GA THAT HE ACTUALLY WANTED.
Proof that RNG is RNG.
