I opened the rank 11 Coven’s favor cache “Lesser elements of nemesis” and a mythic ring dropped and I thought ring of starless skies out of this cache you have got to be kidding me!
I picked it up and in my inventory it shows as a magic/blue ring called “Powerful ring” item level 722 and it gives +74 strength and it has a socket.
That is not a ring of starless skies nor a mythic ring. Is this a prank? Is Blizzard pranking me?
Maybe it’s a bug but “Powerful ring?” looks like a prank to me.
It dropped with the purple color?

It had the purple glow. Not like a blue item on the ground. It looked 100% like a mythic unique. I picked it up and it was nowhere in sight in my inventory. Just a magic ring entitled “Powerful ring”. Very troll like.
Blizzard if you’re pranking players like this no one is going to think it’s funny.
Are you shure it was the ring, and not a Spark?
It was the rank 11 cache not whatever number max rank is. You don’t get a spark till the final cache.
Magic rings don’t have a glow and I know what the color purple looks like. Seems I should open a ticket.
I don’t think you should be getting a Mythic in any cache for that matter only the Spark at the end. So there might be a bug happening. I think it was in season 3 or 2 when something similar happend with Duriel drops. But it was uniques, you picked it up and the item just wanished.
Last season I had mythics drop from Infernal hordes chest twice so it can happen from other sources than bosses. In this case a mythic ring dropped out of this coven rewards cache but appeared as a magic ring in my inventory.
Do magic items even drop out of rank 11 coven rewards caches on torment 2? Doesn’t seem like they would.
I only killed 3 bosses today but had a mythic drop. Though not one I’m going to use. So my luck did seem very good but the 2nd mythic was nowhere in sight. Only this little peice of crud where it should have been.
Do you still have the ring, and can you drop it on the ground to see if it still has the purple beam? Then you could take a screenshot at least.
Unfortunately caches don’t abide by the rules of the difficulty tier you’re on. So you could very well get a normal, magic, or rare item in a cache.
The new seasonal currency and potion also have a special effect when lying on the ground. It’s not like the beam from a mythical item, and the color isn’t the same purple, but maybe this is what you saw?
Going out on a limb here, but I doubt they would do that.

Dropping it does not repeat the glow or sound.
This is really happening. Fren on list msg me about it. Bliz needs to do better. This sucks to think u got starless but its bugged magic ring.
So I am not insane after all.
Now I have to play faster otherwise they’ll patch it before I get it. 
It really does seem like a prank to me. “Powerful ring?” Come on Blizzard.
Has anybody tried dropping it in a well? Feeding it to a frog statue?
