I killed T4 Duriel enough times now to have 11 Mythics drop for me, while having my partner’s character in every kill they’ve received 0 Mythics. At some point, this can’t just be bad RNG or bad luck.
I’ve tried having them summon the bosses, same results.
I’ve tried to make sure they at least hit the boss once before it dies.
They’ve lost motivation to play and I’m just disappointed they’re not tradeable or their account is bugged. We’re 220+ Paragon and have put forth effort but feeling defeated
I did nearly 200 runs up until today and got to paragon 230 before i saw my first mythic drop this season, and then I got 3 mythics within about 1 hour earlier today. Just bad luck.
I had the same thing, but I had 400+ kills on t4.
I was running free carries for days so the kills add up quickly.
I had a theory that something is bugged with “unlocking mythics” since I saved my Matt’s and only killed bosses on t4.
I ran T1 kill, T2 kill, T3 kill one after another on Varshan to see if that unlocked something. Then went back to T4.
2 mythics dropped in the next 10 duriel kills. They continue now to drop at the rare rate I expected like previous seasons of blasting.
Please try this yourself, then report back if it also works for you…
After the number of runs I did, it is almost statistically impossible to not get any drop. Then drops started after I did the kills on the lower torments first. This seems like a crazy coincidence if it isn’t related.
Don’t let people gaslight you that you’re just unlucky.
Well if there is a bug, it’s not the way you’re theorizing, because I did mine in a totally different torment tier order (and got them on different bosses) and didnt do any at all on T2 (still havent) before they finally started dropping
so, the invincible mount in wow has a drop rate of 0.8%. My brother already did over 2000 runs and didnt get it. Each drop of a Boss in D4 has a 1.5% chance to get you a mythic unless they reduced the drop rate. Each boss can drop 5 legendaries and each of these drops has 1.5% chance to be a mythic unique. That doesnt mean you have 7.5% chance to get a mythic that means you have 5 times a 1.5% chance to get a mythic because each drop of loot has its own loot table.
for example: Drop 1:1.5%
Drop 2:1.5%
Drop 3:1.5%
Drop 4: 1.5%
Drop5:1.5%
End result could be this:
Drop1 Mythic
Drop2 Unique
Drop3 Mythic
Drop4 ancestral
Drop5 Unique Ancestral
This is how mythic drops work. You can be lucky and you can be some unlucky guy getting nothing.
Why are you commenting and gaslighting on these threads in the bug report forum?
Kindly stop, let the devs do their job and don’t tell others there is no issue when you have no proof of the matter. Do you also write to people who had a game crash and say no, “the game didn’t crash, you’re seeing things?”
We all know that there are indeed bugs in the game and there is code that is related to mythic drops (spark on the first kill) that is currently not working as intended.
It is possible that there are further bugs related to this that affect the mythic drop rates for certain players in certain circumstances.
By the way, with your example stats of 1.5% chance with 5 items per kill makes my argument even more compelling. I then have 1.5% x 2000 loot rolls with 0 mythics.
Then after running the lower torments, I received 8 mythics in the next 2000 loot rolls.
I have no evidence if running lower torments did something or not, however using simple statistics and probability calculations it is highly unlikely that these results would occur if there is no relationship. Only the development team will have enough data to truly test or know if the drop rates are working as expected over a large enough sample size. However, I assume that it is uncommon for people to totally skip T1 and move to T4 for kills, so if there is any issue it will be harder to diagnose.
you still dont know what it means to have a chance, right? Mr. Copium
btw nice copy and paste
