Mythic drop rates are pure bullsh!t

Around 450+ boss runs and 1 mythic is just rubbish.
In D3 the drop rates for primals is 1 in 400 but it doesn’t really matter as primals are just full rolled Ancients and you can still get rubbish affixes making ancients much better.
In D4 Mythics are part of the equipment you need for optimum performance, they have special affixes to assist in pit runs and this season, even completing the season.

I refuse to spend my life grinding for matts to grind boss runs for no reward.
S35 for D3 starts June 6 and that’s where i will go, meanwhile no more $ from me for D4, no more interest in completing the season as completing every thing in T4 is beyond my sorcs ability. Over 240 para with a fully optioned fireball sorc, and can’t scratch the surface of a pit 75, same with my chain lightning build, but that’s all because i can’t get the mythics required.

A game built and tweaked by morons who don’t play the game and build it for streamers and those with out a life and not for the vast majority of those that bought the game… ,|,

I actually cannot agree more. It’s almost like they’ve almost completely turned off mythic drops. And legendary runes is almost as big as a joke if not more. I don’t even have one legendary room so I can put it on my gear for the benefits yet. And it’s not like I’m being a moron. The game just isn’t dropping it

Thats the thing about RNG. Sometimes you just have bad luck.

The best luck I had was 3 mythics in 5 boss runs. The 3 were consecutive drops.

Total ive gotten over 150+ since S2. They arnt rare but RNG can slap you around from time to time.

Blizz also made then so common you expect them and they have the rep grind pitty system.

And Blizz is aiming that everyone spends as much time as possible in the game.
You can choose other hobbies.

Also there is that new easy method to get mythics.

I am in the same boat. I have only gotten one mythic drop this season after about 200 hours of game play and well over 300 Belial kills and hundreds of other boss kills. And I salvaged it for the spark. I had to craft my Ring of Starless Skies just to get the one usable one I need for my build lol. RNG is always at one end of the spectrum or the other. Seems more people have been having extremely bad odds than good this season.

I’ve had 300 belial kills with 0 mythics…

… and then had 4 mythics drop from belial in 10 kills. (2 staffs, 1 amulet, 1 shroud. I kept the shroud and got 3 sparks.)

All on THIS character.

RNG be RNG.

At this point enough of the rng is rng. its clearly weighted and something has been going since the start with tempers etc.

They have literally said they have adjusted drop rates for mythics so how is that rng is rng.

This is coming from a D2 guy who doesnt care of i ever get a mythic but come on man dont be a lazy loaf actually add something to the convo for once.

But yea just print them with the new scrolls and problem solved.

Same only 400 and 0 drops for me. Season 8 is a joke.

That’s not random, that is a bugged system that isn’t working correctly.

Keep clinging to this nonsense.

At some point fun has to be in the equation. Currently it is not. You’re hearing frustration because previous seasons drops rates were much better.

The only response is pull your head out.

Odd cause there is no evidence of weighted tempering but the opposite. There is a fourm post where someone did 3k tempers and the results does not support your statement.

There is nothing to add. D4 is an arpg and if you did play D2 then you wouldnt be complaining about mythic drop rates because they are far more common then anything in D2.

Arpgs are fun because of the loot hunt which is tied to rng. Now thats not to say that itemization is good in D4. I find the oversimplified D3 itemization boring and sad especially when tempering is more exciting then finding an incomplete “base” item with MS/Vit/other.

Then the gaming base is changing again and not seeing as much fun as you in RNG and the other botched systems in D4.

Both games have appeal. One just feels fun where the other doesn’t. But hey if you feel d4 is all that and a bag of chips fine.

And your RNG study once, doesn’t mean a lot. We thank the person who did it. But obviously the code has changed since then. So whether that study holds true or not, would be valid observation.

Ok feel free to temper 3k time and let us know.

It’s pure RNG, it has 100 bosses and 4 Mythical ones. One day it will appear.Play to game

Nope. Not going to happen from me.

But I understand how data works. And I also know that code changes can have unexpected consequences on other things as well.

The study is impractical every season. But to expect that study to stay accurate over time…. Unless it’s done more often n=1 is not good.

Ok, so your just going to claim its weighted on data that doesnt exist looking for confirmation bias

Yep. I am. Just as you are claiming one study from seasons ago validates everything today.

Same argument buddy

Not really. Its the dataset that exists. No one replicated it.

Until that occurs that is the dataset that exists.

We agree for that point in time. But times change and in this case a lot of code could have changed.

True but that doesnt mean there is evidence to support anything being weighted or I would be “bricking” more then 2-3 items a season when Im not being greedy.
