I know…don’t say it. We’ve talked about this already, a million times. But for goodness sake, mythic drop rates are broken. I just finished 457 T4 Duriel runs with my SB (of course) and NOT one mythic.
Yeah, I get the whole RNG thing and that luck doesn’t shine all the time, but man, this is just terrible.
What is perplexing: Start of S4, Blizz brags about “loot reborn” and they double mythic drop rates. Then they do the mythic drop buff in S5 (1.5% x 5). All good and I felt the drop rates were appropriate.
Then, we move into S6 and VOH and…it seems Blizz de-buffs drop rates? Why unveil the new class, “celebrate” so many good changes and then dump the one thing that players have been complaining about since pre-season? Makes no sense.

I have done so many T4 bosses and not 1 Mythic. this 1.5 bull shiza

Yeah i hear ya. I didnt get one for until S6 O_o…
I thought they were supposed to drop in the world too. Would be nice to not have to farm bosses for them.
I ended up getting 2 starless skies later in S6.
Then this season… i actually got one on my first boss run at the whisper tree… in T1 on top of that…
I wonder if different classes have a chance for it to drop…
I never found one on my SB but found 2 on my sorc and one on my rougue.
Could be a bug on SB but im sure others are making mythics rain so not sure at the moment.
Maybe only 50 can drop per hour worldwide… idk O_o… seems like its something like that.

Id not maybe try a lower difficulty level to see. I know T4 is supposed to have a higher drop chance but again… could be a bug

I was also wondering if it is just me or they have nerfed the chances for a Mythic drop this season significantly. Why do I think they are “nerfed”? In the previous season, when I played the Kurast Undercity with a Tribute of Ascendance I got a Mythic unit on at least half of the runs, now I got a Mythic only once. And for the hundred of runs to Lair bosses I got a single Mythic item during a party run, which I do very rarely (maybe chances for a Mythic drop are much bigger when in a party?).
I can still consider myself very fortunate because I used Resplendant Sparks for forging a random Mythic item by the blacksmith and I got exactly the armor that I wanted (Shroud of False Death). Also, for the first time ever I got a Mythic item from a Whisper cache and it was the Shako! Still looking for Heir of Perdition which is considered the best for my build, though…
I can’t really complain about drop rates. There are days where you get 6 while bashing Andariel for instance with one stack of mats each and there are days where you get barely one or none.
Idk how the system works but overall they drop decently I find.
Agreed the drop rates are incredibly low. Trying to get a shako with cooldown reduction GA. Takes me forever to get mythic uniques to demo for sparks, and get the eom runes or gold needed to buy runes. Crafted 10 shakos so far, no cooldown GA. Feels bad.
