Let’s say I’m specifically looking for a unique 1h sword.
Is it better to target the light weapon chests instead of the mystery chests?
The shard cost is only 50 less, but the drop rate seems significantly lower.
I’m wondering if it’s worth it.
Cant add much meaningful to the convo other than to say I have found it better to just get the mystery chest. Maybe 5 times I have targeted a specific chest to get a targeted drop and only once did that pay off for me . RNG is RNG I hit the 2h cache hoping for a new ancestral staff to replace my sacred one when i was pretty fresh in WT4 and I got lucky but only the once and otherwise just get some borked yellows. For me it seems more beneficial to pray to the RNG gods with the mystery chest at least the quality of the items seems to be where i want it just no promise on what slots you going to get
Probably best doing 2(4) mystery chests per helltide and than if you’ve got extra time left do the wepons chest
+1 for the “get the mystery chests first” strategy, and then depending on your remaining Cinders and what not, go after the chests that might have what you’re trying to upgrade, i.e. Weaponry.
