So much negativity for the poor Druid.
I played a Druid. I had no difficulty with any of the content. Sure some of the bosses took a while, needed some ducking and dodging and maneuvering, but I enjoy a boss fight that feels like a boss fight. Seems to me thereâs characters for the game experiences everyone wants. Want to blow through everything paying half *** (as if a three letter word for your butt isnât allowed lol) attention in 30 seconds or less? Play a necro.
There were some great legendaries to be had, werewolves were fun, and ffs who cares if the Druid isnât âsexyâ
Iâm excited to see what else the character has to offer on release.
Iâm sure itâs a neat class to play but I donât like the form shifting on skill press, and then a few seconds later turn back into My 600-lb Life to lumber over to the next fight.
Would rather build around a perma wolf form and just be human in town.
Druid got pretty amazing when I got my hands on a Legendary that gave the ability Cyclone Armor physical resistance, that Aspect is a must have.
I ran with a Storm build, and after swapping Vortex for Lightning Storm, the difficulty dropped immensely. Even more so when I realized Druid has some of the best passives in the game. Charged Atmosphere and Bad Omen proc tons of free Lightning Damage.
For roleplaying purposes, I understand the complaints for Druidâs appearance. Diablo IV is the first console Diablo to have customization and that feels completely shallow when youâre stuck with a character being either square like Druid or malnourished like Sorcerer and Necromancer.
Diversity between body types is amazing, but it needs to be a choice, even if that means simply adding a standard âRogueâ body type to each class.
Iâm sure people would even be happy if they just reduced the width of Druid, not much of an ask, if weâre being honest.
Perma wolf does sound like a fun build!
Werewolf where fun. Get the right skill and aspect alinged and wow⌠Spool out the right combo and melt the monsters away.
RABIES, POISIONS AND ELEMENTAL Damages stack !!!
Add in the crazy doadge/barriars your now a walking apocolayspe.
I seen alot crying druid where weak! Nercoâs op. The only thing I could see was Nercoâs could move place to place faster. But druids seem to easily match damage output.
If they could prema wolf outside town !!! That would fix the slow speed of the druids inbetween fights
Melee based pulverize build was great. I say better then any thing the barbarian had. Did the world boss with out dying once with it cant say that with any other class as i did the world boss on every class over the two beta weekends they all died a few times during the fight but not my melee druid. On trash mobs it was almost a one hit wonder.
Now the caster build druid wasnât nearly as good. I felt the sprit cost to damage output didnt come close to pulverizeâs damage output. I also feft much more squishy.
Also druid and barbarians didnât have our class unlocks which could have a dermatic impact on play style unlike the other classes.
If Monk is ever in D4 they better not be fat.
Itâs not about difficulty, itâs about how I need to have 4 legendary pieces to do the same damage as a naked base skill Necromancer or Sorcerer.
This is where so many of you miss the point.
Exactly. Everything is diablo is comparative, and if 2 classes farm that much faster, then thats how you end up with like a million cold sorcs and hammerdins and no druids like in D2.
Planned to main druid and thought the game play was exactly what I wanted for a weather witch. Would still have played it if she didnât look so awful. Druids should be about balance and harmony not gluttony. I donât need her sexy I want to be able to open my inventory to equip new gear and not be appalled at what I see.
I liked it. My only main complaint was the horrible resource management that came with it, but I assume that gets better either by launch or as you level. I canât imagine it being that bad forever.
Other than that I loved the transformations. The bear felt like a house and the wolf felt pretty cool once you got deeper in the tree. The casters were okay, but I donât play a druid to be a sorcerer. I also really liked the transmogs I saw. You can go very âwitch doctorâ with your look or you can go almost straight up Viking. I also like the powerlifter body type of the guy. It made the armors look really good.
All in all itâs definitely in the running for my main.
I feel like resource numbers are out of wack with druid. I also feel like attack speed to damage ratio is a bit underwhelming. That said, giving the class passive spirit gain or retuning the spirit cost/ spirit gain of attacks will be very helpful early on in the game. Maul for instance could definitely use a spirit gain and damage modifier by the number of enemies hit.
Iâve had an awesome time with my hurricane build I was Destroying stuff eazer then my shock Hydra Sorcerer
IMHO werebear Druid should be the most bulky tank option in the entire game. I should be able to take multiple hits from region/world bosses and especially dungeon bosses. I donât mind if it takes longer from lack of damage output if it means a more steady endurance during combat from Fortify.
Depends on the build⌠you in no way needed 4 legos to make a pulverize build work⌠in fact most of the complaints are about the caster side of the druid. The melee side was damn good right out of the gate.
Lightning casters were trash without the gear, but earth casters, more specifically Landslide was alright without the gear. Lightning storm consumed waaaay too much spirit without any benefit.
no no no lol werewolves druid ARE fun but very very BAD even with poison and rabies. Lategame ? sure. But leveling them to that point doesnât do anything, itâs weak and repetitive and rabies doesnât even look nice. Summmons are weak. You basically had to play elemental or werebear with pulverize. Anything else was unefficient
LOL ? The physical druid was S**T. I gave up at 25 and went back to the other classes. Leveling a physical druid will be a ridiculous pain in the butt. Certainly not the first character you want to build
The only problem I have in any class is the limited character creator, itâs incredibly lackluster.
Your wish has been granted.
Theyâre now 4 ft tall.
