My thoughts on PTR

Hiho wanderers

Individual points:
• Setting a favorite for teleport is very positive
o However, in the Pit, it’s not optimal because most players will port to Kyovashad. To restart the Pit, you then have to teleport back to Cerrigar.
• Inventory slot for gems and runes is very positive
o In my opinion, the arrangement would be better if boss mats and consumables came first before the gems.
• 2-row buff bar is extremely nice
• Resource shrine colors the resource orb yellow – GENIUS
• In high pits, there are blue and yellow items – not necessary, just clutters the inventory.

Overall:
• First of all, I only played Sorc. I leveled a Sorc from level 1 to max level (in a group of two to three people):
o The leveling phase felt consistently good.
o The phase from World Tier 3 to World Tier 4 took too long because we had very good equipment very quickly. It felt like pointless grinding because we couldn’t improve anything.
o From level 50-60, we only played a few fortresses. We made about 1 level per fortress. I think that’s too much.
o The new skill “Familiar” was very powerful during the leveling phase and has a lot of potential. However, the summon sometimes felt very slow in reaching the enemies.

Endgame:
• I think the additional World Tiers are very well done. Finally, the Tormented bosses on T8 were a challenge. It feels good not to get everything very quickly and not have everything be freeloot.
• I dealt intensively with Ball Lightning. The build is very strong and will be able to play Pit 100 very quickly.
o However, Lightning Spear was much stronger.
• It would be a shame if Pit 100 could be completed in just a few days.

Conclusion:
• Overall, it was the best PTR experience I’ve had so far in Diablo 4.
o It would have been better if we didn’t have access to our resources from the live server copy for the leveling experience. Access to the materials allowed us to temper everything very quickly and imprint the aspects. Therefore, we couldn’t feel what natural character progression would feel like.

Thanks to the Diablo team for providing the PTR! Please keep it up – I’m already very excited for the expansion
