My opinion on hearts so far

Restore laughably low health with low increase barrier gen

Reduce resource drain by an ok amount, increase resource gen by a laughable amount.

Consume a nearby corpse every second (this is redundant and generally pointless)

Chance to fear an enemy for a very short duration with it gaining stacking chill (this is the only half decent one if it wasn’t such a LOW lucky hit chance to proc)

Gain aura of decrepify when 3-4 enemies are near you for 7-19 seconds, completely redundant if you plan on actually using decripify behind the intial point, I.E. improved and CDR talents you’re going to cast this at range anyways, especially with massive survival nerf you generally don’t want to be in melee range.

Chance on crit to make enemies take mediocre lightning damage for 1-3 seconds but only if multiple enemies have this will it even function because it’s a proc that “arcs” to do damage.

I’m level 27 and these are the only hearts i’ve found after doing over 10 malignant dungeons. They’re rather underwhelming and if this is your introduction and reason for us to push through this season then no thanks.

They suck so far. Pretty weak vs other season stuff from other games.

This one is very good since you have more time damaging the enemies rather than casting corpse skills and/ressing your minions.

This one can synergize with Iron Maiden for Aspect of the Damned, except that you don’t need to have Decrep on your skill bar or even cast it.

They’re bland and boring and not even remotely innovative.

They don’t resummon your minions, minions aren’t a corpse spell they’re a summon spell.

You’re decrepify argument sure I can see how that would work out, thats still 2/7 with mediocre use.

This gives you corpse tendrils every second or two with no cool down… I’ve found it to be pretty damn good in that regard, you can easily stun lock packs of enemies and keep them stacked up nice, neat and ready to be bone speared.

If you are using it with corpse explosion sure it’s useless, but it definitely has its upsides with Corpse Tendrils.

Not defending them but the corpse one is one of the best Heart in the game, it’s a fun design.

Barb hearts are so bad lmao.

You’ll love hearts once you warm up to them. (Get it?)

I actually really like the necro hearts. The corpse auto consumption goes from left to right with the corpse skills you have on your bar so you can prioritize them. Also it has it’s own internal cooldown not the same one as on your bar so you can cast corpse tendrils really fast to try to stagger a boss.

The decrepify is good cause you don’t need it on your bar if you don’t want to freeing up a slot and makes doing infinimist a lot more viable if you want to.

Frozen terror seems pretty like the worst once since it’s basically designed to work just with the Bloodless Scream unique unless I’m missing something here.

Haven’t got the super heart yet but that amount of essence drain scares me.

Agreed, based on the description it makes it sound like it’s going to use up a random skill and eat it’s cooldown. I thought it was going to randomly put my corpse tendrils on cooldown for instance which would be awful cause timing with that skill is important - but instead it gets free spammed like crazy. It’s really nice.

Are you playing the game? If not then I guess I’ve wasted my time.

Highly disagree here. It doesn’t use resources or CDs so you can now play a 0 gen style build that focuses on corpses. It’s been a great addition imho.

I really love the 10% barrier with 3 life per second.

Clearly you either arent playing the game or are too inept to understand whats happening.

The heart clearly does resummon minions and in fact if you arent capped on minions it prioritizes summoning them until capped.
