I need help with my level 50 frost sorcerer. I keep dying on veteran mode world tier 2. Can someone help me figure out what the problem is? There is either something I am doing or not doing. Thanks in advance!
Do you use ice armor? (and by extension do you use the both barrier defenses?) If yes to both, do you use enough cool downs to have the barrier up?
Do you use disobedience aspect on armor?
Do you have skulls on jewelry sockets?
Do you have rubies on armor socket?
All of the above should help. Probably in order or importance.
One last aspect I found useful in tier 2 was the one that gave health based on number of enemies around you. Found that very useful on chest armor to just be able to keep spamming spells in a mob to reduce difficulty level and dodging.
PS, however, I can’t help you once you crack that problem and start doing NM dungeons beyond 40ish.
Look up a leveling build on the maxroll site or any of the other popular sites. They explain it all in detail.
How many legendary aspects do you have equipped? Which ones are they and what item are they on?
Are all of your items upgraded to at least 3-4 times?
Do you have Skulls in your rings and amulet?
Sapphires in your weapons?
Rubies in the rest of your items?
Next, what are the affixes on your gear? Do they synergize with each other or is it just a bunch of hodgepodge?
What about your skills? What skills and passives did you take?
They dropped patch 1.1.b, they added armor on the session jewels.
I feel like we are in the scene of spiderverse when when older Peter Parker is quizzing Miles on what skills he can do before coming along to the collider. Rapid fire questions!
I have not played the new season yet. I feel as though my sorceror is industructible and simple to play. IE faceroll, I fall asleep. I don’t move, I teleport into as many enemies as I can find, the more the better. I feeze them ALL and kill them all. I press blizzard as fast I can And do not run out of mana. DOn’t know what eveyone else is doing but Sorc is easy mode IMO. I exploit the spoop out of Freezing/chilling/vuln combined with barriers and mana gains(not regeneration) I have not made a video so I don’t get nerfed.
My theory is Blizzard will alway be the most powerful ability in a Bilzzard game, you just have to figure it out. It always worked that way for me, been a blizzard customer since orcs and humans.
You havent made a video of what? The same exact way everyone and every streamer is playing sorc? You didnt figure out anything new kid.
When this happened to me, some self-examination was required. Mostly it was due to random upgrading gear for DPS only while I leveled, rather than balancing offense and defense. In T1, mods do squat damage and DPS makes you level faster. Then they start to hit harder in T2.
The fix isnt hard. First, upgrade all your armor to high AF. Find rare drops with a mix of offensive and defensive Affixes and high armor values. Move your Aspects to those and make them legendary. Do that for Helm, chest, gloves, pants and boots. It will take about 1.5 hours of play time. Once done, your entire problem will be mostly gone.
Then why all of the whining from Sorcerors? Are they stupid or adult toddlers?
Welcome to Patch 1.1 where no fun is allowed.
I wouldn’t say no fun.
Druid, rouge and necro got very nice QoL session gems, and they look amazing, to outplay the nerf on defensive.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions as I was able to complete the Capstone Dungeon with no issues and no deaths. Now I need to figure out how to get ready for WT3 and WT4.
Rubies in armor. Emerald in weapons. Crit & lucky as high as possible. Cooldown reductions & movement speed/attack speed increases help a lot
Do helltides on WT3. Good loot while you sort out your build.
If you could clear the capstone dungeon, it means that you could also clear early tier nightmare dungeon.
Just keep running those. They give great exp, helps you level up glyphs, and each boss gives you guaranteed legendary items which you could either use, or imprint.
I’ve been playing sorc on WT2 for quite a while and am now level 49. Hate to say it, but you might want to take the recommended skills of ice armor, frost nova, and teleport at the very least. Some guides also recommend flame shield. Basically, the common complaint is that a sorc is forced to load up on these defensive skills because their stats are low. I have found that to be the case. As soon as I respecced to include ice armor, frost nova, and teleport, my survivability greatly increased.
Also, a lot of jewels are worthless. I prioritize rubies in armor to boost hp and skulls for hp on kill. If a jewel relies on a percentage, it is unreliable trash: i.e. you cannot build around critical strike damage because critical strikes are already a fairly uncommon multiplier. So you can try to build around things like critical chance and lucky hit…but I found that they simply are not reliable enough to grant consistent damage (which leads to consistent survivability as the faster something dies, the less they hit you!)
You have to exploit the ability to freeze chill slow and crowd control the crap out of your opponents…I use frost nova…ice armor…blizzard…frost bolt …ice shards and big ice ultimate (which is great for the immunity it gives.) . It takes time but you can have a fairly tough sorc…I’m at lvl84 and running tier 38 sigils on world tier four atm. Use ice shards and frozen orb as enchantment spells…I use these aspects…aspect of frozen orb in my ring…I use a mother’s ring to help with mana gen…aspect of piercing cold im my two handed staff(which you should be using)…aspect of control in my amulet…aspect t of inner calm…my helm uses aspect that gives 25 % dam resist versus crowd controlled or vulnerable enemies…chest piece has aspect that restores 25% life and mana per second while active…gloves aspect gives more damage the linger you stand still up to 30%…I use temerity unique pants…boots aspect stuns enemies when they are 5 or more that are too close…I dont use frozen orb as a chosen skill but have it maxxed out and it’s a enchantment spell due to its massive ability to make enemies vulnerable. Does this help? I can detail where my spell points and paragon are if this whets your sorcerers appetite. Good luck.
The drop rate of that aspect is lower than even legendary items. This is not just useful, it is a mandatory aspect in 80% of cases. And with update 1.1.1, it practically does not fall. You should have an increased chance of finding it in world level 3 after going through 3-4 levels. The RNG in this game just sucks. If there are 1-3 people on the channel with this aspect (even in the inventory), then the chance of it falling out is greatly reduced.
I haven’t noticed that Crowded Sage aspect is a low drop rate (it may be, I don’t use it anymore so I don’t pay attention). But I do notice that the rolls are usually on the low end when I do have it drop which is as if it didn’t drop at all.
