Hi all,
After trying out a Trapper Build without any generators, I figured I would do the same for a build that focused more on speed and less on stationary damage.
This led me to updating my Shadow Clone/Imbuement build, which I often use to speed through dungeons.
Instead of picking up a basic skill, I picked up Concealment, which let’s us stealth, increases movement speed, applies vulnerability and refills 40 energy.
If you combine this with Opportunist’s Aspect, which throws a cluster of stun grenades every time you break stealth, you can turn this into an offensive ability as well.
Opportunist’s Aspect combines well with Aspect of Uncanny Treachery, which stealths us whenever we hit a dazed enemy with one of our agility skills (Dash or Shadow Step). So I’ve added quite a few extra ways of generating daze into the build: Aspect of Quickening Fog drops a smoke grenade every time we dash and dash itself will daze enemies whenever we dash through them, if they’re already slowed.
This build adds quite a bit of crowd control: Dash adds slow and daze, Mangler’s Aspect is another application of daze, Concealment inflicts stun thanks to our stun grenades and Trick attacks knocks down enemies whenever we crit them, if they’re already dazed.
All of this CC synergises well with Aspect of the Umbral, which will refund 1-4 energy every time we crowd control an enemy.
Most, if not all enemies should be vulnerable as well, as we apply it through concealment and shadow imbuement.
This in turn synergises well with Ravenous Aspect, which increases our energy regen by up to 70% whenever we kill a vulnerable target.
Apart from these 2 aspects and the 40 energy regained from concealment, we also get 75% of our max energy refunded whenever we press shadow clone.
On top of that, we get 30 energy refunded for every target we kill with shadow damage, thanks to the consuming shadows passive.
Then we have momentum for 30% energy regen whenever it’s active, as well as innervation which has a 30% chance to grant us 8 energy whenever we deal damage.
All of this combined with Inner Sight, means we’re never struggling for energy, even though we have no more generator.
One of the benefits of fundamental puncture would be the vulnerability application, which we’ve taken care of with this build as well.
The only aspect you can’t benefit from is Aspect of Might, but there’s other defensive aspects that let us cover that gap.
The build features 3 stun breaks as well in Shadow Step, Shadow Clone and Concealment.
So if you get stunned/knocked down, you’ll almost always have a way to break out instantly.
So far it’s been a blast playing this build, as I mainly use it as my speed runner for dungeons or helltides.
