So an unknown player using the social wheel can click on me and inspect my whole equipment.
I want my equip to be private, and there is still no option.
This weird stuff is here since Wow, and with all complains Blizzard still doesn’t listen their customers.
Why they don’t give me the option to keep my stuff private?
Open your profile from the inventory screen (upper left corner where it shows your name and selected title). At the bottom of the profile screen, there’s a button at the bottom center that says “Set to Private”.
Just wondering why do you care if someone looks at you gear or not? Its not you have your ssn or some such. If and when I got some giga chad gear, I want people to see how much of a giga chad I am. {just kidding} I am just wondering why you have a problem with that.

The why doesn’t really matter. Different people have varying levels of security when it comes to information about them. Most multiplayer games that allow gear inspection don’t have this option, so there isn’t precedent for it. The point I made earlier is the option does exist in D4. The way to get to it isn’t obvious, but it is there.
It’s for PVP. Standing in town before you hit the trenches, people can know what they’re up against and make you a target.

How insecure are you to let this bother you? Furthermore you can set it to private.
if there was a little local message that “such and such is checking out such and such”, I guarantee it would reduce the amount of inspections just out of embrassment. I personally could care less.
