Ive heard alot of builds are focused in on wearwolf / lightning skills and i had a poor build to start off but after some tweaking ive been able to roll through the game with relative ease.
I guess ide call it a ‘companion’ build.
First i use the wind shear basic attack. I wrote this off at first but found that a ranged attack can have its benefits especially with wolves for backup. Alot of the time even on some bosses wolves are a great distraction. You just sit back throwing wind getting spirit back then unleash your core [i used the lightning strike]. The ravens do decent damage and are pretty key in creating a vulnerable window where i throw down the poison creeper directly after immobilizing a hoard while the ravens keep shredding. Most of the time i dont even have to attack. The wolves active attack not only has a sweet pounce animation but allows them to get back to the fight when pushed or cursed away and i often use it to pile on a chunk of damage. If things get a little dicey blood howl for a health return [ i rarely ever even have to use a potion ]. Also as a sweet bonus if a fight goes on for a while like when a boss has mad health your fortify will creep up until it basically fills the health meter. This makes a big difference when you take no damage after being on the recieving end of a heavy hit. Gear buffs that i have allow for 1 extra companion so i gots 3 wolfies and companion skills do 20% extra damage or i shoot for aspects like 2 skills to ravens , wolves , poison creeper. Or increased attack speed w. Basic skills having 10% change to fill spirit or having a chance to reset companion skills with a core skill strike. Also anything that does bonus damage on poisoned enemies helps too.
Im excited for the 1st season to drop tomorrow and am thinking of a new druid build using things i havent tried yet. I dont know if anyone else went all in on their companions but i find it allows for a successful play through with almost no deaths.
The only boss who has caused me some greif is the butcher as he ignores the wolves and beserks straight to your character slowing you while emitting that circular blast … he chased me back to a point in a dungeon then just dissapeared.
If anyone likes the druid please share your build !!! Especially if it is not something suggested as OP
that sounds interesting for world teir 1. got a build for anything higher?
I see some great build possibly with the * The Moonrage (Vicious, Offensive): Kills have a 5% chance to summon a Wolf Companion to your side for 20-30 seconds. In addition, gain +3 to Wolves , heart and the plus 6/12/18 dmg per pet summoned aspect
I ended up with trampleslide, not really by choice. I was so excited about the lightning aspect, but got no drops for it. At least, not enough to put together a build.
Im only currently on NM21 and can get through there fine but i get one shot out of nowhere sometimes so I’m scared to try higher until i get more survivability.
Was going to try a different class for the first season but in contemplating going druid again because i really want to focus lightning.
problem is, that isnt enough damage to offset anything. only thing viable can be found on maxroll.gg. anything else is worthless
Im using it on tier 3 rn and it still works fine lv 57 currently … hell tides or world bosses on 3rd tier dungeons its still allowing me to run through solo with little frustration. Its a casual build but hasnt failed me miserably yet the game is still enjoyable .
I mean you already can have up to 3 before all of this, and i dont see anything that says there is a cap on how many can be summoned. * Core Skills deal an additional [6.0 - 10.0]%[x] damage for each active Companion.
wouldn’t matter, try a teir 75 with it and let me know what happens
lol i didnt know we were only linking Uber and 100NM builds.
You want that build? its lighting/nado shred. still broken.
They NEED to add a paragon board for Druid companions. Makes no sense there isn’t one especially when Necro has one for golem and one for skeleton
