Not sure if this is a bug (which is why I am not posting it there)… but since the update to battlenet, I now have 5 battlenet apps open (1 regular, four 32 bit), and four background processes for battlenet (three 32 bit and one user agent 32 bit). I don’t remember just the battlenet app taking up nearly 500mb of memory… is that normal?

“The Blizzard app should only have 2 running under apps and 1 under background processes. If you are seeing more, that could indicate that there is a problem with the Blizzard app such as corrupted files . Usually deleting the Battle.net cache can help with that.”

thanks for that… I did actually delete the battlenet app and all related files from my computer… downloaded the battlenet app off the website and installed… and… again 5 apps and four background processes. I will try to upload a screenshot of the task manager… maybe i am misreading it, but the battlenet apps and bg processes (altogether) are taking up nearly 500mb of memory. That’s without any games running… just the app.

i had that once but my pc was acting up before that incident. im no expert, but id assume its just your system going crazy. Usually a restart fixed it for me.
Could be… game crashed two nights ago… the next day was the whole invalid license thing… which prevented me from posting on the forums as well as preventing me from logging in to the game… might all be related.

Certainly not the cause… just mentioning it.
this might be a dumb question but how often are you restarting your computer…if you’re leaving it on for days on end it’s gonna affect your memory very negatively…should restart once a day
OP have more than one user profile and/or one that is auto login?
Sorry to Necro a thread… but I turn my comp off every evening… It isn’t that… I think it is related to beta testing the new Battlenet App… even deleting battlenet and all blizzard products and reinstalling seems to have multiple battlenet apps running.
Huh? I apologize I don’t understand what you are asking… I only have one account… but often have the battlenet app on my phone on when I am not logged in to the game.
