UPDATE
Muffled dialog from player character and npcs outside of cutscenes.
When in the world all npcs and the player character have extremely quiet, echoey, muffled dialog. It is almost impossible to hear what they are saying at certain points. I have tried all audio settings, and adjusted all sliders, with every slider turned down to zero besides dialog, the npcs are still muffled. This occurs when clicking on an npc with a dialog option, random npc chatter, when the player character speaks, and during all general dialog. This does not occur when a diolog option is selected that will progress the quest or the story, or in cutscenes, in these instances the dialog is completely clear as it should be. I have re-installed the game, clean installed all graphics and audio drivers, and attempted to automatically repair game files using the battle.net launcher. My build: Windows 11/ AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 12-Core/ 64.0 GB ddr4 ram 3800MHz/ NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Tuf oc edition. Hopefully this can be sorted out because it really takes away from immersion and the gameplay in general, i was able to confirm with others in game that they are not having this issue, as well as watching a playthrough and can confirm the issue wasn’t present in the video.
Spoke to others experiencing this issue, this link include a thread where somebody included a ticket response including possible fixes that did not work for me. I completely deleted the diablo 4 file in the documents folder and still no luck. I tried launching the game in safe mode, clean re-installing all audio drivers, deleting the game and the config files in documents, and verifying game files in the battle.net launcher. It seems to me that the issue is server side and stored in the diablo 4 servers. I can verify this because I deleted every trace of diablo 4 off of my pc and the issue still persists. I also noticed that the options for color highlights persisted after reinstall of the game, so the file associated must be stored in the servers.
