I have a few suggestions for some controller improvements that I think would drastically benefit the game.

Linking items in chat
I originally thought that it was impossible to link items in chat with a controller but was told otherwise, I personally couldn’t find how to link items in chat, I’ve now read that it is possible but apparently really clunky and not intuitive.
Suggestion to improve it:
While in inventory allow holding down a trigger and pressing confirm to link in chat, this way tapping the trigger will swap between the tabs as normal, but holding it down will modify what the confirm button does. -
Manually rearranging items in inventory/stash
If you didn’t know, on PC you can just drag items around to rearrange then, another feature seemingly missing on controller. I shouldn’t have to explain why rearranging items is important, especially in your stash. There wasn’t even an auto sort for the stash from what I could tell.
Suggestions to implement it:
Similar to the previous suggestion except the opposite trigger. Alternatively you could make it so holding confirm on an item ‘picks it up’ so you can place it somewhere else. -
Targeting options
This ones the big one, and really would be a giant improvement to how the game feels on a controller.
Currently the controller targeting system will only allow you to attack in the strict direction of the targeted enemy, which is perfectly fine for some skills that require accuracy, generally your single target skills. But for others it makes things feel clunky. IE: skills like Flurry on Rogue are wide arcing AOE attacks, it doesn’t need the precision of being locked on a target.
Something that happened to me a lot in the beta while playing Sorcerer was there would be a giant pack of enemies in front of me, one of the enemies decides to try attack me and ends up leaping behind me, the game then decides to target that one enemy and my Frozen Orb gets cast towards the one enemy instead of the giant pack of enemies. Despite me holding my left stick in the direction of the pack.
This frankly just feels awful, it feels like I have little control over my own skills when it happens, there’s absolutely no reason why a skill like the Frozen Orb which is a giant AOE orb that hits everything in its path needs to be so strict on its targeting. You should be able to just hold the left stick and cast it in any direction you want.
Suggestion to improve it:
Give us more agency to aim skills like this ourselves with the left stick so we can attack the middle of a pack instead of the game deciding who it targets, because right now it can feel like the game is playing itself a little. Or at least give options for it, there’s always the lock on button for people who want this more strict targeting. -
Picking and choosing loot to pick up
There seemingly wasn’t a way to choose which loot to pick up when they’re stacked upon each other with a controller.
Suggestion to implement it:
Really the simple solution is to just let the Dpad highlight the loot options when standing around it. Seems like a no brainer.
