Most of these points were acknowledged and attended in the following live stream and patches. Yes, still more to come but overall I believe this is a good sign of things turning in the right direction.
We have to be of good character to own our mistakes, even our misunderstandings – and not just the d4 team, but also the community. I’m not here to point fingers at anyone else, rather myself.
I stressed quite strongly that Baldars Gate 3 release being around the corner, would be a major competitive and disruptive factor if D4 was not able to capitalize of the window of time to garnish greater reception and praise. I’m going to walk this point back in light of understanding that BG3 is turnbased and not the lostark/d4 arpg style.
This single misunderstanding of what BG3, completely changes my outlook on actually comparing it to Diablo 4 at all – its a completely different genre. A more suitable comparison is PoE and Lost Ark, which of course look like crap or bankrupt your credit. Was a long time ago, but I was sure the earlier bg title i played wasnt turn based. Regardless, I have a completely different take on how potentially damaging the season patch was – i was planning to sideline it out until bg3 release, but given the response from blizzard and realizing bg3 is not what i thought it was, I’m more optimistic about the future of D4 moving forward.
I decided to end my boycott and try the season out last night. Figured I would really stress test things so I chose a Sorc for W2 start. I mained sorc in eternal realm, so second run through does feel alot easier. Not going to give much feedback on it at this stage as I haven’t gone through enough of it, but despite my negative criticism (albeit constructive), I actually really enjoyed it, but much of that does come with have more things to do and progress with in early game. Still the new hearts mech is interesting, the new sorc ledgy aspect is dogsh#t – there seems to be a hidden war on the wizarding world (cough* woke, cough* jk rowling, cough* magic and christians) 
I’m just joking… but seriously, feels like God is punishing me now for meddling with sorcery 
Look ill wrap it up with, we got to call out our own misunderstandings/mistakes too, and when blizzard does this as well and puts things on the right track, the best response there is to encourage more of that and receive it positively. I think its awesome to see such an active community engage – even if its complaints/criticism. I’ve shared my input and mostly satisfied with the response to it all now. So yeah – going to log back in now and hop off these forums for a bit. My way of saying thanks is the 7k plat i just bought for cosmetic items.
Looking forward to that sorc enchantment slo… i mean rework.
