Unable to bind the mouse wheel up and down functions to skills like you can in Diablo 3.
Kind of a deal breaker.
Example: Rogue
Mouse Primary & Secondary: Melee attacks
Mouse Wheel Up and Down: Ranged attacks.
Mouse Thumb up and down: Misc (Skills 3 & 4)
Is this going to be fixed before release?
There are some keys you just cannot reassign, and that’s by design. Currently the zoom function is assigned to the middle mouse and they most likely want to keep it that way, thus not an issue they see as something to fix.
Blizzard can “undo” the mouse wheel zoom and assign the zoom functions to the PLUS and MINUS on the keypad instead.
They “CAN” do a lot of things. “WILL” they do it to appease one player? Definitely not.
Using words such as “fix” implies that it’s broken, but it’s not. It’s intended design currently, to not be able to remap zoom.
And yes, they can do a lot of things, but for the zoom they probably won’t, since this was something people mentioned in closed beta last year, yet here we are.
