Most efficient way to get less squishy as a bone spear necromancer?

I’m level 100 and have my build matching the maxroll endgame bone spear necromancer. I feel I’m way to squishy although I feel like I do pretty good damage. My glyphs are not very leveled (one is level 15, the other are level 5). What’s the best way to get my guy to take less damage? Farm world bosses and hope for some 925 armor with high armor numbers?

Bone spear is a glass cannon build. Its about maximum dmg output before taking any dmg. If you find a gf & shako you just plow through everything.

I switched from blood surge necro. I was plowing through screens and sub-bosses with blood surge but when I got to duriel it was like I was tickling him. Barely got past the first triangle thing.

Wear Lidless Wall + Shielding Storm = tank

There’s more to it, like Osseus Gale or the new Sacrilegious ring triggering corpse consumption effects to boost your DPS and essence endurance but it’s mainly about equipping Lidless Wall.

What kind of weapon do you use with Lidless Wall? I currently use a 2H sword.

Any 1H weapon will work.

BTW someone on reddit made a hybrid Bone Spear + Corpse Explosion build using Black River and it’s pretty great (the CE can crit 1.5-2mil). I’ve tried it myself but be warned that it’s gear dependent. You need to find a max roll Black River and Sacrilegious Ring for it to work maximally.

My advice is never follow Maxroll, Icy Veins, etc 100%. They make squishy builds to go all out on damage for some lovely one minute video clips.
To adapt, you can:
-Use Undying vampiric power and/or sanguine embrace
-Prioritize health on armor and jewelry item affixes.
-Sacrifice a paragon board or part of one to allot points into health, resistances etc

Armour mod on neck and chest
Armour aspect on amulet
Max res
Basic attack dr aspect
3 dr and life on chest piece

Just stack damage reduction where ever you can, the build doesnt have a problem with damage, so you can drop a lot of the offensive aspects. I personally run dr pants over tibults even for example.

Wand + shield is better for DR since lidless = infinite bone storm

Dont use shako - its a trap for bone spear necros
