More Time In Queue Than In-Game

How am I supposed to provide feedback for a beta test that I can’t actually beta test? I understand there is a level of stress testing happening. However, the disconnections are insanely frequent. I get 10 minutes of gameplay for every 50 minutes of queue time. What’s the point of even trying to test this?

Pretty much in the same boat. All I’m seeing is people saying suck it up, it’s a beta and that we should expect it. Yes that’s true it’s a beta and they’re stressing it, but there are people who’ve had at most 30 minutes in queue and 6 hours of play time soooo something isn’t right.

So I started the game again, one last attempt to try and log in for more th an 5 minutes before getting kicked back into a queue.

I’m told I have to wait for 45 minutes.

Meanwhile, my friend logs in AFTER I do… and has a shorter queue only having to wait 35 minutes?

Isn’t the entire point of a queue that it is first come first server? You go to the back of the queue… how is it we have line skippers in a digital queue? Is this all just made up?

To be fair, they have disabled the report bug feature, so they don’t want your feedback.

That is a fair point.

If youd have read the whats expected notes, youd know, waiting in the queue is giving them the info they need. All this set is for is server and minor bug fixes, not for you to write up a report of everything you see.

This weekend is alll about server and queue testing.

You’re doing your job, and sounds like you are doing it well. Keep up the good work.

Last week sucked on the first day. The second and third days were much better.

All that is fine. What’s frustrating is the disconnecting. Are you telling me that blizzard is purposely kicking players offline just for them to get back in the queue? That doesn’t make any sense. I have friends online that haven’t disconnected once all day. I however get kicked every 10 minutes.

Sort of?

Not like… KIIIICK THEM!!! But when a server is stressed… thats one of the things that happens, who gets kicked or booted… is like winning the lotto. Youre winning!

As a network engineer, I sincerely doubt that.

As someone who has flown to the moon i dont for one second believe youre a network engineer and you dont understand that.

You are a troll of the highest order thank you for your insightful feedback and help with the issue at hand, may we all strive to be as insightful as you oh enlightened one

I have been a 25N in the Army for years. I have nothing to prove to you. It just doesn’t make any sense for blizzard to knock people offline when they have 100s of people already in queue.

  1. Queues

Lol.

Sounds like a skill issue to be honest.

As someone who has worked for 20 years and still works in server rooms for the military, being a 2e/3d and then contracor in the airforce, you calling yourself a network engineer as a 25n makes sense, but youre not.

They arent kicking people off, theyre pushing the servers to capacity, even simulated, and this is the type of stuff that happens.

Theyre also simulating a load so the queues are filling and being pushed to capacity.

Come on engineer man… you should know how this works

That’s cute. I like making stuff up about others to make myself feel better too sometimes.

Clearly army. I havent made anything up about anyone.

Id draw you a picture as to how this works, but we all know youd lose it.

Now go back to practicing making your cat5s, maybe soon youll learn how to splice some fibers, if youre allowed to go near the tools.

25n. Help desk

In that sense, shouldn’t there be a “rotation” of people suffering connection issues and having to re-queue or is the “lottery” truly the only and best explanation ?
