I’m disappointed in the lack of unique demons there are in D4. The devs should consider adding a few more as follows:
Magma Lord- demon shoots fireballs
Storm Demon- demon shoots lightning
Gargoyle- flying demon that turns to stone
Fungus Demon- shoots fungal spores
Frog Demon- jumping demon w/ claws
Maw Demon- demon w/ giant mouth
Mallet Lord- massive demon w/ 4 arms
Excrement Demon- belches poop that poisons enemies
What demon would you like to see?

Having MORE Variety Demons with different abilities/attacks is NEVER a bad idea.
I don’t know how many different species of enemies the game has Now, but I do think they need a lot more.
Granted, at least in the Diablo series, there hasn’t been a lot of varieties to begin with, now that I think about it.
The Golgothan. Haven’t thought about that thing in a while.

I thought those were Bloodwave Necromancers, which are already in the game.

I really want Blizzard to:
A) license excrementals from Kevin Smith
B) involve Kevin Smith in additional content creation

I thought an excrement demon was running the whole show??
Didn’t we already explore their malignant tunnels and farm their polyps in S1?

Diablo 2 and 3 I think did a good job of both location-specific monsters and prime evil-specific demons and reaper angels.
Then 4 is just the same crap over and over again. Red demons that all look the same and spiders and snakes and cannibals and a few classics like khazra that all kind of smear together.

That is a strong point of the Diablo 4 imo. I believe we have around 15+ monster families with each having at least 3 different designed enemy types.
But they simply cannot express their unique personalities to us if players are smothering them with damage, if you know what I mean. So adding more enemies would not do much for that matter.

I don’t remember them having much even when the game was slow, but perhaps I’m mistaken.
I remember some that were noticable harder:
Ghosts, overall very strong
Snakes (stun laser)
Axe wielding skeletons were hard hitters
Skeleton cannon is a popular example
Flies with their poison projectiles
Goatman mages buffing their buddies
I havent played much of the Meta, so the impression was certainly dependend on how long enemies were alive.

Besides the 3 prime evils…and the other lesser evils… you Do have some “elites” that have something going for them. I guess…
Remember the side quest where a demon and human had a symbiotic relationship? That was interesting…
Nothing is more disgusting than a foul demon that spews forth sh*t everywhere. Plus, would make a very memorable enemy.
I am disappointed about how impersonal mobs are… Everything can cast everything and can do all sort of CC.
Basically they are all the same thing with different skin.
Seems like the Burning Hells uses Walmart to create demonic forces. The demons in D4 have no personality and they all behave the same. Basically, it’s a lack of creativity.
