More Engaging Seasons

I’ve personally only liked one Seasonal concept, which I’m pretty sure everyone and their mother can guess which season I’m referring to.

I’ve suggested before that Seasons need to be more engaging. And when I say engaging, I mean it should keep our attention for the majority of the season. Some suggestions might be:

  1. Weekly and Bi-Weekly activities/events - global events, apparel events, crafting & XP events (and these should happen week after week, with some potential re-run of events for those that might’ve missed it the first time, to keep players logging in each week until the end of the season)
  2. More engaging activities. I get that season 6 was tacked on with the expansion, but let’s be real, killing some enemies, go through a portal, kill more enemies, get loot… that’s not really content. Felt like I was just killing an enemy to get into a cellar.
  3. At least one Mythic Unique/Paragon Glyph/Gem per season that you can only obtain through playing seasonal activities
  4. Seasonal sidequests that are part of a more over arching quest line through each season, that are drip-fed to us each week (say you get 2 sidequests per week that tie into the seasonal campaign and get kind of a conclusion to the seasonal campaign in the closing weeks of the season).

I’m just spit balling ideas here, but I think you get the overall idea. A more engaging season will keep players engaged, logging in, making new experiences every week.
