Mob Density was the final straw for me

If it was more a good thing, I would say great! Up the mob density.

But it’s not. The change is just more of a mediocre thing…

More offscreen 1 shots, more chainlock CC, etc etc

Thats actually the final straw for me before I put D4 down for awhile. My build was doing ok before the density change, now it simply can’t function.

I dont care to spend the time and effort to respec and change gear to go with this change. Maybe Ill try again next year.

The mob density would be a good thing IF they fixed CC first.

Fix the CC, and actually gave us an ETA when resistances will actually work, and just stack armor.

This isn’t a mob density issue, it’s a cc and bad design of mobs issue.

higher mob density is great, but we need diminishing return on CC, resistance actually working and some rebalance of ranged mobs damage. We also either need mobs not to be able to attack from of screen or preferably the ability to zoom further out, so we can actually see all the mobs that attacking.

These changes being good or bad are somewhat build specific, kind of like the butcher existing doesn’t matter for some and is a total PITA for others. For instance I can kill Klixxarth maybe 20x faster on my level 68 Druid than my level 100 Sorc with great gear. My Druid is basically invulnerable, always unstoppable, and does more damage than anything other than different Druid builds and maybe a couple Necro builds. The game has probably gotten more imbalanced over time, just also easier overall so people don’t care as long as mobs are dead.

Apologies for using that word.
But seriously, you need to adapt your gear.

More mob density also gives lots of exp and possible of good RNG loot

Hahaha, wasnt D4 not dumbed down enough for you?

It’s nice that the mobs do defend themself and are not free food for brainless Generation Z kiddies.

Only thing I would change is that those skelleton bow ballistas with their enormous range draw a marking where the shot lands similar to the bow banshees…

Actually I dont need to adapt lol

I can simply walk away from what has become a game that is absurd and completely dependent on niche OP builds and exploits. The “git gud” crowd knows all about those OP builds. Have fun with that!

TBH, having to hunt new gear all over again is #yawnworthy… only to have the game change again next week? Im not gonna drop a tier and regear, so that I can go up a tier and regear…lol

Nah loc… Imma wait til this dev team settles down. Later gators!

More CC just makes me cheese more.

They should not have nerfed first. Really questionable decision there. They could have fixed resistances or whatever then tell us that they would nerf armour since resistance have been fixed. But nooooo… they jumped the gun and did the easy stuff first.

Sucks that you are not enjoying the mob density rework.
I suppose being ranged makes it easier for me. So far I am loving the increase and it has helped out a lot for leveling. Was 82 at patch drop and then when I later logged off that day, I was halfway to 86 which is nice.
Also finding better loot now too.
So much more needs attention but for me, this was at least one step in the right direction.
Good luck!

Nah. I’m a sorc and I love the new mob density! Gotta choose the NM (affixes) that suits your playstyle. Offscreen 1 shot? Don’t choose the ones with those corpse bows, simple as that.

The new density changes made NM and Helltides fun again!

Honestly anyone complaining about CC really need to learn how to move while fighting. Everything is easily avoidable.

The git gud crowd already left the thread —>

Thanks for your valuable insight tho

give it time, they will strong arm blizzard, cant you see the path we are on.

people wanted D3 successor, and people didn’t they pleased neither properly, but D3 generation is the majority and thinks D3 is the only diablo game, Hence the updates one by one undoing the real D4 and turning it into a faster more mow monsters that dont defend properly game.

with the right build it is that already.

They won, new toy is theirs now, diablo 4 will be a overworld husk of redundant gameplay and people will be zerging n/m with modifiers removed like rifts, for teh next 10 years. since cleary thats what diablo and arpg’s are now, endgame drool.

Sorry for teh rant, i am just beyond upset at this. It really is a kick in the teeth to fans of d1/d2…

Nothing pisses me off more, with the lil Rogue than getting locked into place. Them lil green TVs that shoot out ray is my arch enemy, hate them things. Today, NMD, I was stun locked, CC in place, I am willing to bet, 10 seconds, until all my potions depleted, then DEAD.

Bring back San Fran Blizzard North Group, at this point, they MAY be able to help this mess.

Ever heard of shadowstep? removes all cc…unstopable on shadowclone? concealment? do those sound familiar to you? maybe dodge a bit? maybe unstoppable aspect on boots?

Skill issues.

This right here is the perfect exemple of why we can`t get a good game…

People asked for mob density…and i thought, wow, a valid complain. i totally support that. blizzard did what the community asked them. whether it`s good or bad, they listen to community.(i consider the change good)

Now, people complain about the density :))

It`s a never ending cycle…that what i will always say the following:

“blizzard needs to grow a spine and stand by their decisions”

oh yeah, also, they need to fix resistances…i know it`s a season 2 thing, but still.

serious?? do you really think?? because in my point of view it’s exactly the opposite, if you play necro now you can turn off your monitor and brain to play, this game is completely broken it’s obvious to anyone honestly and this change in density would be welcome if the game it wasn’t broken, with buggy skills, aspects that don’t work, a resource system that favors some classes and punishes meele, not to mention the constant glitches and hitbox problems, the resistances that simply don’t work and they themselves have already assumed that.
EVERY type of bad engine that everyone HATED in the failed D3 is here and they are the ones that weigh the most negatively in this game. ALL of these issues were reported in the many betas but the whales continued to defend. maybe fix this in season 28 when the game has 230 people online like in D3.
